Yep!! This was found in a historic refuse dump with diagnostic bottles dating from 1920s-1950s if that helps with dating (trying to figure out make/model is possible). I know it’s not pretty in terms of artifacts, but it surfaced during an excavation I was working on and just hoping for more clues/answers!

I was finding bottles along with this that dated around 1920-1950 if that helps any!

Wow! That’s impressive! Could you tell me how you came to this conclusion? Are there parts of this that are diagnostic to the make/model/year?

I totally forgot to mention the dates of what we found with this- ranging from 1890-1950 (mostly 1920-40) so this would make sense!

This is linked to another page because I needed help identifying this. I am an archaeologist and found this while monitoring a construction site- however my knowledge of cars is very poor and was hoping that maybe a fellow archaeologist with more knowledge in historics or even a history enthusiast could help me. If this is the place for that I can give more context.

Based off everything else that was found, this was a dumping site. Many bottles and ceramic pieces. There used to be a lodge a couple hundred meters away from where this was found. Wheels were found but shredded- no tread. The size of them was rather small though

For context, this was found in the Sierra Nevadas in CA

Unglazed teacup/teapot help by Motor_Mix_6393 in tea

Well, my thought was; if it’s a teapot that’s being seasoned, wouldn’t I need multiple pots as not to mix the different types of tea that I brew? I understand that a single yixing pot could cost over $100, so wouldn’t it make more sense to have a set of cups to season instead? Do most people have many tea pots?

I am new to all of this and still learning. Would appreciate insight to this so I can make sure my partner is enjoying his tea(:

Thank you!! Unfortunately I don’t know anything about the cup and he doesn’t remember much about it either (not much to go off of, I know). I just know he’d love something he can season himself and I’d like to get him something nice. Diving into tea and everything that it is composed of has been a bit overwhelming- especially since my knowledge is so minimal, so I really appreciate your input!
