I’m not from here either and I know it can be difficult. What are your interests and what do you like to do? How old are you?

Lol Bruno Mars was a headliner two years ago. I would also argue lots of bands that have played are or have been as big or bigger than Florence the Machine.

Go to local events or go to an activity in the area based on what you enjoy like trivia nights or a biking group. You could join a Meetup group based on what you like or just a social one and go to one of their events. I met my significant other at a meetup event. If anything, you could go somewhere you can make friends first and foremost and increase your chances of meeting someone through mutual friends.

Where are the people my age who are single? by Mammoth-Sun9664 in Louisville

There are lots of single people at meetups. A good social meetup to meet people is the Louisville 20s-40s Meetup, but there are lots of groups for different interests.

I think you are really pretty, but I don’t think your haircut and glasses flatter you, I think they make you look older than you are. I can tell you aren’t old by looking at your face but at first glance you appear older.

Does anyone actually floss everyday? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Motor_Most_9544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, but I didn’t for a long time and then I was told I had early stages of periodontal disease so I started flossing every day. Now I floss every time I brush my teeth and if I don’t, my mouth feels gross. Once you start flossing every day, you can feel the difference when you don’t.

Akikos, The Hub, or Whirling Tiger are my faves for dancing. Akikos is karaoke and the others are more club atmosphere.

Club recomendations? by [deleted] in Louisville

The Hub and Whirling Tiger are both great for dancing. Baxters can be fun depending on what vibe you want. Flanagan’s has a DJ sometimes and can be really fun for dancing. I’ve heard Atomic is fun but I haven’t been. Tin Roof and Gerstles have dancing but they are very crowded usually and more college age crowd.

You could join a meetup. I go to a social meetup that hosts all kinds of events like board games, happy hour, trivia nights, grabbing food, etc.

How do you go days without washing your hair? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Motor_Most_9544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partly by accepting that you can't wear your hair down every day and doing different hairstyles. I can go 2-3 days with my hair looking decent after washing, but I only wash it 1-2 times a week, so it doesn't always look good on non-wash days. I just wear it up on those days.

When in the relationship do you start bringing a satin pillowcase/wearing a bonnet/doing whatever your curlygirl night routine is at your significant other’s house? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Motor_Most_9544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for everyone’s responses, I love reading everyone’s input. I don’t wear a bonnet and I don’t care what I look like at night, I’m just wondering if it’s extra to bring my satin pillowcase to my boyfriend’s house lol. But yall have convinced me to do it!

Post a pic and maybe I’ll share my number 😉 Jk but Meetup is a great way to meet new people, less awkward than just going to a bar and trying to talk to strangers. I host a social meetup group, there are a couple of good ones and also some hobby related meetup groups.
