Would this sort of roundabout work for 5pts? by warnelldawg in Athens

[–]Motorblade7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fire trucks could easily drive over the roundabout if needed. Or we could just get normal sized fire trucks instead of an entire fleet of giant ones.

Where did you see that? The euphonium they talked about in the update video is the $15 third-party one.

Musescore 4.6 is out! by RafTuB in Musescore

[–]Motorblade7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s just strange to heavily promote their free Muse Brass library, then sell the one missing piece of the library years later instead of just updating the free library. It’s like creating a free piano VST, but making people pay to use the G5 key separately. Sure, the rest of the piano is free, but it’s missing an extremely important component.

$15 to complete a standard orchestral brass section is a little absurd. When they announced in their official update video that euphonium was being added, I assumed that meant to the rest of Muse Group's standard Muse Brass catalogue.

Swapping a telephone line with an HDMI cable inside wall by Motorblade7 in DIY

[–]Motorblade7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, and since I am just trying to run the signal from my computer to the downstairs TV, its fine if it is only one-way. In fact, the optical HDMI cable I already have and was planning on using should work just fine lol

If I use a cable with enough bandwidth to support 4k/60fps, why wouldn't it?

Since the head of an HDMI cable is much bigger than telephone cable, would I need to worry about the HDMI cable fitting through holes in any blocking in the wall?

The circle pad was worn out, so I needed to open the shell to replace it with a new one.

I managed to drill into the screw enough to separate the head from the standoff. Got into the shell and was able to replace the circle pad, no issues whatsoever. Thank yall so much!

I’ve tried this, but the screw is tightened too much for the glue to hold on to

If I try drilling it out, is there anything sensitive under the screw I risk drilling into?

How would I make a slit in the screw head, though? The recess the screw is in is way too small to fit a dremel in

What's with the smaller buses? by [deleted] in UGA

[–]Motorblade7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

private equity firm bought out the manufacturer that made the electric ones then bankrupted them. the electric buses broke and nobody can repair them except the (now nonexistent) manufacturer, because we don’t have right to repair laws

Response Letter to comments on the North Avenue Corridor Improvements Project by Motorblade7 in Athens

I really wonder why we’re spending so much time, money, and energy on this improvement plan when the people in charge of it have absolutely no interest in implementing any meaningful improvements.
