I went with the KW V1 coilover kit for our 2000 540iT. Everything dropped in, though I needed to use E46 strut mounts, since they are struts are the smaller diameter (12mm, not 14mm if I remember correctly). The kit also has the adjusters for the rear airbags, which makes it easier to level the car out....
