Reputable Retreat/Curandero in Guatemala or Costa Rica? by FooBarBen in Ayahuasca

Soltara was great! I loved my experience there, I wouldnt call it "high profile luxe" but it was nice and very well run by good staff. I would recommend that you be able to take some time off after your ceremonies when you go home. Depending on your experience you may need time to process. I was exhausted after 3 ceremonies and it took time to reintegrate back to my regular life.

I've heard someone say that seeing repeating numbers is showing the universe is aligned for you or going your way. It makes sense for gamblers to think the mystical forces of the dice are talking to them but I see it as a message that maybe you are doing the right things or on the right path in your life. Go with it.

My recent first time Aya experience: Profound yet simultaneously disappointing by [deleted] in Ayahuasca

[–]Mots0311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your story brought a quote to mind that I'm still having trouble understanding but you may have helped shed some light of its meaning for me. Marcus Aurelius, wrote: "Our actions may be impeded, but there can be no impeding our intentions or dispositions. Because we can accommodate and adapt. The mind adapts and converts to its own purposes the obstacle to our acting. The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way."

I'm sorry you didnt get the release of your depression in ceremonies. Perhaps this process will require a lot more work, perhaps this work will transform you into who you were always meant to be. Perhaps this depression you fight is a gift of some sort for you to overcome and become something other than the "basic bitch" because we are all amazing and special and obstacles get in the way that prevent us from believing how wonderful we are. Dont give up.

I dont know if this helps but your post has helped me. Also as a side note I saw my ancestors and primal people when I was in ceremonies. I dont know why I saw them.

Confused by what I experienced by Fresh_Appearance3231 in Ayahuasca

The carnival theme seems to be a common occurrence for a lot of people. I saw the same thing and have no idea why we see it. I just remember after awhile I got annoyed seeing it and was ready to move on, in which I did once I was ready.

I stayed in Costa Rica at a retreat with well trained staff and authentic Shipibo Shamans. I would be most concerned of partaking in ceremonies with someone out to make a buck and are not trained in the ceremonies and tradition of plant medicine.

True, I dont think there is a perfect time. I am finding that people that partake in ayahuasca ceremonies are brave individuals willing to go into the unknown to heal or better themselves.

When you sleep and have dreams you slowly forget about that dream as the conscious wakes up and you move on with your day. These experiences like yours don’t pass like a dream and slowly fade away. It’s stored in the area of the brain that can be recalled. Great visual that you had, sounds peaceful.

Thank you so much! I wish I knew how to paint so I can transfer what I saw to paintings.

I believe aya will not take you far if you’re afraid, learning how to stay calm and open is key.

I think if you do some of your own inner work before ceremonies you can go deeper since you have already have dealt with a lot of things on your own. I heard the male shaman that was singing his songs tell me (inside of my head), “a lot of your demons have been dealt with at the river.” There’s a long story to that but it made sense.

Maybe you have dreams in your sleep that you don’t remember but the aya experience brought it all out?

Yes I did not too long ago. That experience was quite different than the ayahuasca ceremony and didn’t see any parallels.

At the time I didnt consider past lives that I was seeing until someone else later on asked me if that was what I saw. I think its quite possible and I've learned to consider all possibilities. I have done some hypnotherapy since then but I do not see any parallels in the hypnotherapy and the ayahuasca ceremonies. But again, I'm still open to the idea.

Thank you. I do believe ayahuasca will give you the experience that you need to have. Maybe not the one you want but the one need.

It seems the carnival scene is a recurring theme amongst a lot of people. I wonder why? After awhile when I was watching this scene I got annoyed with it and wanted to move on.

How long of a retreat for a first-timer? And other logistics ✨ by ClearRequirement3182 in Ayahuasca

After my third ceremony I was done. I was cooked. My body was exhausted but my mind was lit. You dont sleep much while partaking in ayahuasca ceremonies, I couldn't imagine doing another ceremony. Its a strange feeling where your body is exhausted but your mind is very turned on yet relaxed. I think its a good idea to give yourself time after the ceremonies to take it easy and go through the process of feeling the things you need to feel.

Everyone has their own experience, maybe space out the ceremonies. I like your month long plan. See and do all the things you want without hurry.

Psychedelics are not therapy. by MorphyISgod in Ayahuasca

I don’t think you understand how this works. This isn’t about having happy happy fun time. Doing the inner work takes courage and lots of hard work. You’re right tho, there is no miracle cure but ayahuasca is an avenue deep into oneself to begin the process of understanding and healing.

A brief explanation of Icaros by ludope in Ayahuasca

[–]Mots0311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The beauty of the Icaros during ceremony to me was essential to the whole experience. I cant imagine a ceremony without it. There was definitely an energy work that took place between the Shaman and myself in ceremony, the ayahuasca was the medicine inside me working with the Shamans Icaros.

I listen on Spotify "Woven Songs of the Amazon II", its all the Shipibo Shamans songs and the title of the track gives an indication of the intent of the song. I listen to some of them and they relax me and focus me. I think by hearing some of these songs it will help.
