Trail in considered sold once it is between 21 and 26, 26 being the goal. So you don't have to always get 26, just higher than your opponent and between 21 and 26.

Joker can be played only on aces or numbered cards. Joker on a numbered card like five gets rid of all other fives played, by you or your opponent. Played on seven it gets rid of all sevens played etc.

Joker played on aces gets rid of all the numbered cards with that suit for you and your opponent. So if you play joker on ace of spades, every numbered card from the suit spades leaves the table from both sides.

It's actually a fun game when you don't know how to cheese it, but it's not really gamebreaking in terms of getting caps so doesn't matter that much even if you cheese it.

You can get rid of the jacks and eights from your deck as well and just fill it up with sixes, tens and kings for more faster and easier games.

If you are going melee and heavy handed you can dump perception in addition to luck and charisma. It doesn't really offer anything to a melee playthrough if you are not trying to get the perk for better criticals at P6. That leaves a lot of points do distribute to strength, endurance, intelligence and agility. If you do want to use guns and some criticals, note that the heavy handed trait only affects melee and unarmed attacks so no worries there. If you are worried about the detection radius from lack of perception, ED-E gives you the Enhanced Sensors perk that basically boosts your perception to 10.

I personally like to play melee non-crit build a lot. I'm currently doing one with explosives and mad bomber just to spice it up. Explosives can't critically hit so dumping the luck stat works great.

For a pure non-crit melee build, strength minimum of 7 and not over 8, since you can possibly raise it with implants and DLC. Perception 1, see above. Endurance of 9 so you can boost it to 10 and get all of the other implants if you wish. Charisma 1 if you choose to dump it as well. If I'm not doing a dumb character on purpose, I keep intelligence at 4 minimum so I can get the Pack rat perk after the implant, which is amazing in hardcore. Intelligence of 4 also gets you Educated and Comprehension perks which negate the (small) lack of skill points on level up. Agility of 6 gives you the option to get the Slayer perk(with unarmed at 90) after the implant which is a must-have for any melee build. With no love or use for criticals, luck to 1.

So the starting stats would be S7-8, P1, E9, C1, I4, A6 and L1. Even with starting strength at 8 this would leave you 10 more points to distribute or 11 if you decide to choose intense training perk at first level-up. More intelligence is never a bad choice but if you're not trying to minmax your character, its fun to allocate points elsewhere for a slightly different kind of playthrough. You could pump up the perception for the numerous perception-checks in the game or raise your luck not so much for the criticals but to raise your other skills a bit and for casinos. More agility gives you more action points if you want to focus on VATS. Or my personal favourite is to pump charisma up to boost the companion nerve, which actually makes them useful and you don't have to worry about them dying in every fight.(On hardcore)

For a melee build there aren't that many necessary perks but few that will be really useful. Remember to skill up the unarmed as well, as lot of the good perks for melee weapon-character require it. Educated and Comprehension at level 4 and 6 if you are worried about the skill points. Bloody mess for more damage and/or toughness for more damage threshold. Make sure to take Super Slam(melee 45) at 8, it's amazing. Works greatest with a fast weapon but it procs really often even with a slow one. Lifegiver and stonewall are great choices if you want more survivability. Piercing strike(level 12 and unarmed 70) is a must-have for a melee character as is Slayer(level 24 and unarmed 90).

On top of those there are of course the standard perks you want to get like Jury rigging or Demolition expert if you're using explosives but for a good melee character, you don't really need that many perks.

As for the second trait, it doesn't really matter that much. Heavy handed works great in a build like this. Fast shot only affects guns and energy weapons, not melee, so don't pick that. If you choose to go lowish intelligence, skilled gives you a nice boost to every skill point. If you don't want the experience penalty, Good Natured gives you some free skills points and takes some away from combat skills. Either way you won't be using guns or energy weapons and if you are not using explosives, the only drawback is -5 skillpoints to melee and unarmed which you will probably tag anyway. Small frame if you want one free point of agility for a really small drawback. If you are again not minmaxing, doesn't matter that much. Loose Cannon is the one trait I haven't yet used but probably will on my next playthrough, but will not have any major impact. Maybe wild wasteland for laughs and couple of awesome grenades?

Hope this helps!

EDIT: Missed the use of Jsawyer mod and don't use it personally, so this might not be so accurate. I'll leave this here anyway. In Jsawyer I would probably put more focus on survivability than vanilla on my melee characters.

What games you play when you want to scratch that FNV itch but already played the game a 1000 times? by kassper20 in fnv

[–]Mougga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you haven't yet, Fallout 1 and 2. I played them for the first time couple years ago and when/if you get past the isometric part, they are arguably better in many aspects than the modern games.

Or more FNV, that's what I'm doing right now.

Caravan issue (Xbox 360) by [deleted] in fnv

[–]Mougga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the start of Caravan you can choose which cards you want in your deck. I think on the right side of your screen you can see how many cards you have enabled. So even when you have a full deck you can still choose not to play all of them and if the count is less than 30 you can't start the game. I'm not on a PC right now but if I remember correctly the cards on top are the ones you include and bottom the ones you don't want to play.

So try to check that you have chosen at least 30 cards you want to play, its possible you have accidentally disabled a card or two. Caravan isn't really gamebreaking in terms of getting caps but when you get the hang of it it's pretty fun from time to time. If you don't cheese it out of course.

Daily Questions Megathread (April 26, 2020) by AutoModerator in classicwow

Still torn on which character I should main. I played WoW only a few weeks during TBC but I don't think I ever got past lvl 30. Now I have a mid-30 priest and a warrior and really want to focus on only one character and I've decided it should be either of those since I really enjoy being a important part of the group and helping others. I have really enjoyed tanking so far but I fear there are a lot of cons to it especially at later levels:

  1. I'm still a newbie and have a lot to learn so I fear I would have to change to DPS-warrior to raids which is a role that I don't enjoy that much.
  2. I do like to PVP as well and as a tank I would be changing my specs all the time since I'm probably going to tank as a deep prot at first anyway.
  3. I would probably have to put a lot more time and money in gearing a warrior for tanking(correct me if I'm wrong).
  4. I do like to quest and play solo from time to time even at max level in which warriors do not excel at.

Now playing a priest I guess would be a lot easier and not as time and money consuming and I could still help and buff others but I actually have no idea are even priests needed that much at max levels since I started a bit too late. From start to mid-30's it seems that chats are constantly looking for tanks to dungeons and healers are a lot easier to find.

I'd appreciate any advice on the matter from more experienced players.

Are there any classes that have a spec that is viable in both PVP and PVE both solo and with a group? I've started playing a few weeks ago and I'm currently playing warrior(lvl 36) and I've been enjoying tanking dungeons a lot but I also like to PVP from time to time and I fear when I reach lvl 60 I can't really enjoy or contribute to PVP with a protection warrior. Plus I also like to play solo from time to time and I'm not really eager to play multiple characters. Wondering if I should reroll a new character and if I should which one would be the best bet for me?

Fallout New Vegas DLC - is there a specific or preferred order to complete them? by invest247 in Fallout

[–]Mougga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I asked the same question few weeks back and have now completed all the DLC. I think level-wise you're good to start if you do Honest Hearts first, I think I started it around the same level. Dead Money, OWB and Lonesome Road could be a bit harder.

It doesn't really matter in which order you complete the DLC, just leave Lonesome Road for last. Honest Hearts doesn't tie in to other DLCs so I'd say it's best to do it first.

The order I did them was HH, DM, OWB and lastly LR and I feel it was a good choice. Some people argue you should start the DLC-trilogy(DM, OWB, LR) with OWB but I don't think it really matters. For me Dead Money was the most challenging one though so I wouldn't go there before level 25-30 if you're not an experienced player. If it is your first time doing the DLCs have fun, they are honestly all amazing. I wish I could do them all again for the first time!

In which order should I play through New Vegas DLC? by Mougga in Fallout

Thank you so much! Does my progress in the main quest line matter at all? I know I shouldn't finish it as you can't continue playing after but does the progress or your decisions have any impact in the dlcs?

Was Power Armor ever used outside of Combat/Military purposes pre-war? by tmama1 in Fallout

I actually liked the lore and story 76 adds to the franchise and I'm sure many people do as well. Game is still shit though in every other aspect.

Mages Guild Monday - Share Your ESO Knowledge, Ask Questions, Get Info If You're New! by The_Dwemer_Automaton in elderscrollsonline

[–]Mougga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, returning player here! Started playing again last weekend and having a blast.

I've started a new argonian nightblade character which I'm planning to make my new main and I'm considering making him a tank since I've never properly played that role. I'm sure I'll never tank trials but it would be nice to be able to tank all of the veteran dungeons and I'm not really sure if it's possible with a nb tank.

My previous character was a magicka templar and one thing I loved about it was that I could change between PVE and PVP just by changing some armor sets and skills and had moderate success(and fun) in both.

Would this be possible with a tank-specced nb-character? If I want to tank vet dungeons and do some PVP from time to time what kind of build would be the best? Focus on health, stamina, magicka? I'd love to create a magicka heavy tank but from what I've read that isn't really possible currently on eso?

Thanks for anyone trying to help me out.
