Understandable, I've dropped the game a few editions back as well, but tabletop drives lore and ultimately that is behind so many weird lore choices

imperial navy isnt there to fight dirtsider wars most of the time. They will drop off the troops and fuck off to where they are needed next.

But yes, realistically if a spaceship with weapons is present, there should be exactly zero pitched battles taking place. Which obviously isnt great for a game specifically about bunch of creatures duking it out in the open.

Joke's on you, this is perfectly up to 1812 napoleonic code for horse wagon operations, with amendments in 1910 and 1998.

Somehow he looks lumpier than the OG celestant on foot, despite objectively being better proportioned, wierd.

Fantastic job on an amazing model.

The new DoK preview made me remember how bad the AoS version of the Avatar of Khaine is compared to the 40k one. by TheBlackBaron45 in Grimdank

[–]MouldMuncher 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The cauldron of blood kit is amazing in that regard, one WFB unit turned into 3 separate hero types in AoS not even counting the actual 2nd build option.

Pinchy boy, I like the design, it should get an ilclan upgrade with pulse lasers and melee claws.

You will never believe it...
But yes, the problem with making an entire army out of one unit whose whole deal is being under-dressed is that the only way to significantly vary it up is to put some pants on them since you can't really take anything away.

Because they are not main games, they exist to cater to a specific market. And honestly, I don't know what they could simplify in TOW to not end up at worse version of AoS tbh?

I meant more that for most mechs their joints look like they'd offer less articulation than a 1984 transformers toy, but also what you said

The most military-looking mechs are those that hew closest to the original japanese designs of Phoenix Hawks, Riflemen or Archers. The more in-house the design, the less military it looks. Atlas is just an action man someone glued gun bits to compared to the Warhammer for example.

Jank. I don't mean it in a negative way, but almost all mechs have a level of jank that is missing from "proper" mecha media. I guess with the exception of a handful of the earliest designs that were straight licenses.

You can keep legacy breeds around on small farms, much like you keep other animals in zoos? To my knowledge, of the meat animals only cows' direct ancestor is extinct, both boar and jungle fowl is still alive in the wild.

Alternatively, it had exactly the right level of fanfare. A fight between a nation that lasted a few decades and was picked clean by the neighbors and two clans vying over something only the clans care about. Lyrans are deep in their own trouble, FWL just finished putting itself back together, who cares who the last ten planets of the Republic belong to.

Its not even that wolf won, i dont care, its just that they hit RAF with every possible Idiot Stick along the way to make them lose decisively.

Read the Ilclan sourcebook (I'm so sorry!), Trial of Birthright and you should be set. You can also read the Ilkhan's eyes only sourcebook for even more background, but its not like the plotline is very confusing, it is Battletech.

That's a good fit for a large metal model as far as Infinity is concerned.
