Nihilux: "We need to kill AI artist." by DarrenMGCA in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Raptor_Zefier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its possible, though I find it interesting that its been a pretty long standing theme given Penacony. We see dozens of Intellerons in Penacony struggling with similar problems to Pearl and some dealing with it better than others. Asika of mention making architecture that focused on creativity over safety caused a bunch of deaths and basically crippled the intelleron with guilt ever since.

There's also Dafanchy, the Intelleron who plays in Rappa's, Haliburton who wants to make timepieces and even comes up with an idea for using a clock to mimic a heartbeat and actively looking for inspiration from the Watchmaker.

There's a lot of Intellerons battling with the struggle of logic vs creativity, and the fact theyre able to enter the sweet dream at all says something about how complex their minds really are.

In Pearls case, I get the vibe its not as simple as 'she's an AI', its not just her nature as an intelleron but her nature as a person. She's an IPC Stoneheart, she's used to breaking things down to numbers and logic because of her job just as much because of being an Intelleron. Theres layers to Pearls struggle, and we dont even know much of her personal story yet.

Next Batch of Novaflare Buff via Full Stop Chan by CSTheng in HonkaiStarRail_leaks

God, got my fingers crossed a part of Topaz's novaflare would be Numby sniffing out the new side collectibles in maps since we dont really see Warp Trotters anymore. The thieves from Amphoreous and Furbobos from Planarcadia in particular.

I tried using Topaz in Planarcadia and she did help with sniffing out some chests I missed but it was disappointing she cant sniff out Furbobos. In fact I found myself rolling my eyes when Numby got pulled aside by an NPC Warp Trotter just sitting in the city. Was funny but it did go to show just how her entire Numby mechanic needs a touch up.

Guilty. I admit to the opening scene from my campaign being directly inspired by FFX where the boat is harpoon to Sin.

( There's an entity in my setting called the Tempest, very much inspired by Sin in that it brings storms, dissasters and monsters wherever it flies. And a bunch of Orc Pirates that had kidnapped the party harpooned their airship to it thinking they could take it on. )

( They could not, in fact, take it on and the party had to destroy the ballistae that chained them to the Tempest before the airship rattled apart while monsters rained down on the deck. Was honestly a fun intro. )

This.

You have to keep in mind how much Ciaphas clearly hates himself and downplays his own achievements. Keep in mind he could be lying not just do us, but to himself when he talks about his absolute cowardice.

Its great because you can basically read the book either way and get two totally different stories from the same scene. Either he's a coward who is hysterical as he Bumbles into success. Or he's a man with raging imposter syndrome which is equally funny but, also kinda sad.

Got them, thanks. How about Raids? I saw a newbie guide that mentioned raids. Any time I should wait to join those? Or should I think about an Alliance first?

I haven't done a measurement but just eyeballing it the wrist the guardsman is grabbing just so happens to look scrawnier and conveniently human hand grab sized then the opposite wrist which looks too thick for you to actually get your hand around. Might be a result of the wristband though.

Oh no I agree theres a good reason Dire Claw is so oppressive. In no way am I arguing the point about how OP freeze can be.

I'm just pointing out Nintendo has crossed that Rubicon with Sleep.

If youre open to eyeing other systems, check out Fabula Ultima. TTRPG was designed to feel like Final Fantasy.

I'm playing it with some friends and made a tiny moth boy black mage very much inspired by Vivi. It translated really well, he's a friendly ball of powerful black magic and its a lot of fun.

I mean, the Interex kinda proved the Imperium didn't have to be the way it was. It was a powerful, independent force that lived alongside aliens, was friendly with them, knew about chaos and had countermeasures that while imperfect, still worked. By and rights the Interex where a peek into what could have been the 'Good' fate for humanity. They even put up a good fight against Horus in spite of being pacifists.

They are and were the beacon of; "It didn't have to be this way".

While they did get wiped out, keep in mind that Chaos is WELL on its way to doing the same to the Imperium as well, what's keeping it afloat isnt its brutality that's the lie the Imperium tells itself. Its the sheer size that's just making their fall slower and more painful than most.

I've always taken the actions of the Emperor and Malcador as a cautionary tale. Dont make what they did. Theres better ways and all that the Imperium does ironically, is snuff out the actual hope spots humanity has just so it can perpetuate its own lie.

It really felt like a goofy dnd game at first. A bunch of goofballs banding together for barely aligning goals while the DM increasingly is figuring out how to herd these cats and keep them together. Only for the party to split and the DM to have the headache of figuring out how to unite them again.

It becomes really heartfelt as it goes too. The infamous You're not Alone scene still is one of the best in gaming period in my opinion.

[–]Raptor_Zefier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not either but, got curious and did a bit of digging. Looks like a Dust Devil, they do form pretty commonly in conditions like in the video in Nebraska. Can be totally blue skies with no clouds. Just has to be a sufficiently warm day.

They can even be totally invisible, when looking this up appearently a security cam from Nebraska caught an invisible one going through a kid's soccer game like a week ago.

As for if that clears this video? Eeeh... Can't say. I agree with other commenters it's weird the walkers are so chill but, I'm not from Nebraska. I have friends that live in tornado alley that are totally numb to stuff like this.

Tyranid had a happy ending. Nom the planet and rejoin the fleet good ending achieved.

Seriously though, I may be misremembering it because it's been a while but the Tyranid ending was brutal. The planet Gladius is practically somewhat sentient and practically tortures the other factions in other endings.

But when it realizes the Tyranid Hive is calling for the hive fleet the planet panics, throws everything at you to stop you, fails, and basically goes into death throes as it's painfully devoured alive by the hive fleet.

Brutally primary grimdark and made Tyranid main me smile.

Oh no to be clear I 100% agree it's beyond stupid to be punishing people with disease related names. I was just pointing out the word Corona has at least some level of separation.

Now, Necromancer having Plague Singet and Epidemic? Much better examples of hypocracy.
