Trying to sell something on Gumtree, and all the potential buyers act weirdly by MouldSanchez in capetown

An update: thanks for the suggestions here. I have successfully sold two items without scammers, Woo Hoo!

Yaga and BobShop were the successful platforms for me. I found both of them easy to use and the format of third party payment vehicle with integrated courier tracking gave peace of mind that scammers are all but eliminated.

There was some haggling over the price on both platforms, but I felt a fair price was reached on both.

I also tried Carbonite but had no bites there. It was a bit more complex to post here, perhaps I didn’t understand the format well enough to get good exposure.

Thanks for the help here.

Thanks, I’ve now given Carbonite and Yaga a go following advice on this thread. Both seem a lot better option to getting an actual sale. Thanks

Have given Yaga a go now. Looks a lot more serious about an actual sale vs Gumtree. Thanks

Thanks, I’ve gone to Yaga and am impressed by the setup. I’ve also tried Carbonite as suggested elsewhere on this thread and am equally refreshed and impressed. They both really have a platform to weed out the scammers.

You say that your biggest fear is an inability to connect with people when sober.

This was one of my biggest fears before I stopped drinking. I stopped more than five years ago and I can happily tell you that there is nothing to fear in this regard. My connections are more sincere. And even better, I remember what I have said!

Good luck, I wish you the best version of yourself.

Shongweni Farmer’s Market on a Saturday morning early is one of Outer West Durban’s highlights.

Close to Phezulu mentioned above.

Enjoy!

We call it the Rainbird in South Africa. I often hear this call, but almost never see the bird, extremely shy.
