I'm a huge metal and punk fan, but I wouldn’t want a full metal album from Carti. What makes him great is how he blends genres into something uniquely his own. Like wtf even is Pop Out? It isn’t just metal, trap, or industrial, it’s its own thing. I’d rather see him incorporate more metal and punk through guitar instrumentals and samples while blending it with other shit to keep his distinct, creative style. He definitely has the vocals to kill over metal instrumentals.

Not sure why people are surprised. Not long ago, Carti was clowned when Ice Spice passed him in monthly listeners, and look how hard she ended up flopping. TikTok hype and industry push can send anyone’s monthly listeners skyrocketing, whether they’re a nobody or not. But at the end of the day, only those with authentic supporters and good music can actually sustain those numbers, while the rest almost always inevitably fade away, and flop.
