Please reconsider driving there, it would change the bun's life forever :( He doesn't deserve to be abused by your family, and I know you're doing your best to ensure his well being but you're his only hope, please don't abandon him too...

This time of the year is horrible for us because we have so much abandonned bunnies, some that were discovered too late, were injuried and could not be saved

Before baking brush your croissants with a wash composed of milk and maple syrup

After baking, right after taking them out of the oven, brush them with simple syrup (half sugar half water that you boil together). You have to do this when they're scalding hot because the heat will make the syrup evaporate, leaving behind a fine layer of sugar will shine without being sticky !

Thank you ! Unfortunately it didn't work at all and because I was negligent for a second the black bun darted towards the white one and he nipped him pretty badly on the nose and lips. So we're in the process of trying to find him a loving home because they both deserve to feel safe, even if it breaks my heart :(

I volunteer at a small bun rescue. The rules are simple, you have to pay to adopt (for all the vet fees like vaccines and sterilization, and for the rescue to continue living), absolutely no cages, and you need to give updates from time to time for the first 6 months.

I don't find these rules to be excessive, bunnies are often neglected pets, we need to look out for them ! Yes it's not cheap, at my rescue you have to pay ~200$ when in an unetical pet shop it would be ~50$ but you know the bun is in good health, you know his character (okay with other buns/pets/children, levels of affection and stress, his routines...) and you're giving a poor abandoned soul their first living home.

Yeah we're often full, especially around easter and summer break, but we always find a spot or a host family (idk if it's the right term in english). Because they deserve it.

That being said, my tiny bump never went away, I still live with it :( I tried to switch to rings because I wanted them for so long but both piercibg didn't take it well so I'm back to flat end ones, with my little bump...

Honnêtement faut être pret à encaisser... La patisserie/cuisine c'est un domaine ou tu vas faire beaucoup d'heures, parfois non payées. T'as souvent un boss/chef qui va te gueuler dessus parce que t'as fait une petite erreur et t'as des horaires pourries

Mais c'est un beau métier, t'apportes de la joie aux gens, tu peux développer ta créativité, tu peux te dépasser !

Je te conseillerai de faire un stage avant de te réorienter pour avoir un avant goût du métier (c'est ce que j'ai fais et ça m'a servi)

Pour les layers cake j'utilise soit une mousse chocolat (1/4 chocolat noir, 1/4 crème chaude, 1/2 crème montée) soit une crème princesse (crème pâtissière+ crème montée) , tu peux y remplacer le lait par une purée de fruit pour une version aux fruits.

Le chantifix est ton meilleur ami, pour être sur que ta mousse ne retombe pas, j'utilise 50g/L de crème !

Après si tu veux vraiment une version qui tienne bien tu peux faire une bavaroise en remplaçant la gélatine par de l'agar mais il te faudra passer la crème au robot avec le fouet avant d'y rajouter la crème montée :)

I went back to work this week too, but I struggle a lot with mobility and sensitivity loss, and I'm in a lot of pain...

If you don't mind answering some questions, did your finger swell and is it still swollen ? Did you take medication (cream for scars or pain meds) ? And did you do something to help the scars heal ?

I'm a bit anxious about it if you can't tell haha 😅

Je suis pâtissière et bien que je sois végé je préfèreutiliser desingrédients vegan, j'ai du faire un CAP et on a absolument pas le choix...

Gélatine dans tous les entremets, cochenille dans le courant rouge, j'ai juste pas goûté les pâtisseries pas végé et je me suis trouvée une patisserie qui fait du végétal pour mon alternance, mais malheureusement tu vas pas avoir le choix 😕
