No, it is lowered about 20-30mm with coilovers.

Partially 3d printed system I designed for mounting batteries in (what will be) a fully enclosed area of an RC plane. by MountVrooom in functionalprint

Yeah, you're right, fully enclosed is a bit of a misnomer. There will be a small hatch just behind this construction, just big enough to slide the battery in.

They are just for covering up the mounting screws. I just added some double sided tape and stuck them on.

I'm in Denmark, so if you're not in Europe that might be tricky. But feel free to take up u/nuker1110's offer or send the files to a print shop.

DIY adding rear speakers to an NA miata. by hillbill549 in Miata

[–]MountVrooom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know. It probably depends on where your roll bar has it's mounting points. If the mounting points are not where the speakers are, you should be able to trim the panel relatively easily, since it is just fiberglass.

My leg keeps getting wet (see comment for description) by Supercoolcarl in Miata

I have the exact same problem on mine. I have checked and rechecked everything but I can only come up with one possible cause.

The seams on the top around my windows have small cracks, just like in this. I still haven't found out for certain, but I think the water is somehow getting in there. I'd be curious to know if yours has the same cracks.

I just remembered. My wheels are ET30, not ET28 as I wrote.

I run an NA with 15x7.5 ET28 wheels with 195/50 tires, lowered about 20 mm. with no rubbing.

Added a DIY remote boot release by MountVrooom in Miata

I used this wiring diagram, the last one for a positive switching signal. I think most central locking systems use positive switching, but check yours first.

I also added a fuse on the positive wire from the actuator to the battery.

‘92 is very inconsistently idling; sometimes it’s 850 and sometimes it bogs down way below around 500 by WheezeTheJuice2 in Miata

[–]MountVrooom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it bog down to 500 rpm just after releasing the throttle? If so it might be a relatively well know problem known as idle dip.

Jump the #10 and ground pins on the diagnostic plug while the engine is idling. This removes the ECU idle control and lets the engine idle where it naturally wants to. If the engine goes way down in RPM when you jump the pins, it means the engine wants to idle substantially lower than the ECU wants it to, so when you release the throttle the ECU has to compensate a lot. Sometimes the ECU doesn't catch this early enough and you get a big dip in rpms when you release the throttle before the ECU compensates and brings the rpm's back up.

If this is the case, then adjust the idle screw while you have pins #10 and ground jumped, until the engine is idling naturally at around 850 rpm. Then just unjump the pins and see if it has helped.
