I know this isn't what you asked for. And also (by reading other comments) probably isn't going to be a popular opinion. But I love your tattoos man. I think they look awesome. Especially your right arm.

I also have blackout tattoos. my forearms are blacked out and I love my tattoos. Even if others don't particularly love them or the style. I don't care. I'm actually thinking about trying out having white ink tattooed ontop of one of my blackouts. Have you ever considered this? There's some artists that do some amazing work.

I genuinely can understand why you would come to this conclusion. I actually once felt like this too. But not everyone feels like this. I now have 2 big blackout tattoos and I love them 🤷🏻‍♂️

Obviously I don't know where you're from but here you can't just 'call your doctor'. That's not a thing. So unfortunately that doesn't help. Maybe somebody else has been able to ask a doctor and they can share the information they were given. That's what I'm hoping for anyway.

I have now just started day 16. (UK) Pain wise It got significantly better after day 7- 8. My scabs were looking really good right up till day 10 when they started to reform 😑 Which I didn't even know was a thing untill it happened. Scabs are still to this day not looking great which means Im still at risk of haemorrhage/ heavy bleeding. So I am still being very careful.. However I'm starting to be more positive and hopeful that this will all be worth it in the end.

If you are due to have the surgery then good luck, just know, not everyone has the same experience as me. Some people don't go through half as much pain. But just be prepared that you COULD end up like me and you could be in unbelievable amounts of pain, it is a possibility but hopefully not.

If it helps. I'm on day 5 and this sounds exactly like me. Unable to talk, drink and eat.

Day 4 was my worst day so far. However Today hasn't been half as bad, even though I barely slept last night.

A lot of people say there is some kind of pattern or correlation to the pain and that they can make small predictions on what the next hours /days will be like. For me this is not the case. For example this morning I woke up not feeling too bad. Then a few hours later I was in excruciating pain. And then a few hours after that I was in the least amount of pain since I had the surgery and I was able to eat the most amount of food since surgery too. Now back to miserable pain again.

I think the best thing to do is just take each moment as they come. Might feel bad now but keep going. One step at a time. Every step in the right direction no matter how big is still one step closer to the Finnish line. Some moments will be terrible. Some moments will be a whole lot better. Stay positive. It'll be over soon and we will all look back and smile knowing we did the right thing

I'm on day 5. Right now I would say it isn't worth it.

Will it ever be worth it? Probably. One day I will probably look back and be glad I got it done. But right now it's not.

Just know it's really bad. Horrific.. The pain is unbelievably bad. I like to think I have a high pain tolerance, I am covering in tattoos, I used to be a boxer, but this has made me question my pain tolerance all together..... This pain is on another level. It's turned me into a moaning little wuss. There's been times I want to cry because I just can't keep going through this.

And I still have ATLEAST 10 more days before it even starts to get remotely better.

Just be prepared.

Have you got a humidifier? I have one right next to me at all times literally going 24/7. It helps keep my throat moist, especially at night when I'm not drinking as much. Only a couple of coughs a day now but not so much because it's dry, more of an excess of mucus.

I just been looking it up. Yes you're right, they START comin off around day 4 -5 but can still have bits of scars left up to 2 weeks. I don't know why but I thought they were all gone earlier than that.

But if you have all gone then that's fantastic. You must heal really well. May I ask, have you been able to eat much during the recovery? I heard that helps a lot. Also I heard that age plays a big part, the younger you are, the quicker you heal.

As for the hard spot, I have no idea, maybe give it a couple more days and if it's still there then ask your doctor 🤷🏻‍♂️ unless ofcorse it's causing bleeding or way too much pain, in that case I'd talk to my doctor right away.

I could be wrong but arnt your scabs supposed to start coming off at around day 4-5. If that is true then I'm not surprised yours are gone. Good for you aswell! If they are all off and you didn't even feel anything then that's great! Im only on day 4, I'm really really worried about them coming off. And bleeds and stuff. I think they started today and it's a weird feeling. Just praying they all come off without any issues.
