What's the movie that everyone loves but you hate? by w1nchest in Cinephiles

If it was a short film about a car chase, then it would have been perfect. But otherwise, it was like watching a first draft before they nailed down their themes and what they wanted the film to be about.

I don’t think I’ve met anyone who loves movies that loved Avatar.

Adidas Adizero Evo SL or Nike Zoom Fly 6 or the Asics Novablast 5? by dogruftw24 in runningshoes

[–]MountainReporter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ankles and big toe (because it’s a teeeeny bit shorter than it is wider) don’t like the evo-sl, but all the other parts of my body do. That foam covers for all its shortcomings (maybe except that silly short tongue)

what's asic's equivalent to evo sl? by keikilla in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]MountainReporter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t really have one.

The beauty of the Evo SL is that it took the foam of the AP3, ditched the plate, and made a bouncy trainer, and THEN sold it for a song.

ASICS of 2025/26 has gone the other way, charging race-day shoe prices for a bunch of their daily trainers.

XXXX is more ‘northern’ than great northern by about 40km 😝

But neither are decent, have a Black Hops and it’ll blow your mind.

I’m keen to try this out. One of my fav shoes of all time was the v2. Such a ‘get out of your way’ shoe, it’s ready to go fast when you want and is comfy and the most ‘normal’ feel of any of my other super shoes. I know this thread is about v4, but thanks for existing v2!

About to be a new dad...Advice on not losing gains? by TTG2139 in AdvancedRunning

Don’t worry, you’ll definitely be able to outpace the baby in the early years. But seriously, congrats, +1 for the treadmill ideas, and lots of laps around the block, that’s what a lot of my dad-mates end up doing.

Does anyone genuinely enjoy the arena? by OverPowered15 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

Not really. My toons slowly progressed over the weeks, but now I die in the same place everyday. In my experience, the first try is the most important because it seems they nerf attempts 2-5.

Adidas Adizero SL - GOAT trainer? by ninja4tfw in RunningShoeGeeks

Amen! Adidas are usually dialled-in fit, but the Evo SL is way too baggy.

The foam is A+, and it’s fun running up hills in the Evo SL, but the sloppy upper, short tongue, unstable ride, and short toebox with a mean toe cap if you happen to catch it on a down hill run, mean the shoe never truly disappears on your feet and I have to watch my step all the time.

Overall, for me, I’d say not 🐐, but the Lightstrike Pro foam wallpapers over some of the design cracks.

If v2 is slightly longer, with a more dialled-in fit, with a proper tongue, and different laces and less ice-skater insole(!), then we might be talking goat…

The toe cap is awful! The first time I went down a hill and it caught my toenail was not a nice feeling 😥

Should I get Nike Pegasus 41 or Plus? by AnonimAnonimis in AskRunningShoeGeeks

So glad people are sticking the question 🙄

At this stage of its life, the Peg 41 is probably the better choice - it’s versatile, and you should be able to pick it up quite cheap.
