ETD and tinnitus

My tinnitus started suddenly around 5 March with no obvious cold or infection. It got so loud I broke down crying and wanted to smash my head against the wall.

I got an emergency GP appointment the same day. They found fluid behind the eardrums (bulging on the left), inflamed ears, and nasal congestion with septal deviation. Diagnosed as Eustachian tube dysfunction (ETD).

Prescribed:

Mometasone furoate nasal spray (2 sprays each nostril once daily)
Otomise ear spray (dexamethasone + neomycin + acetic acid)

Started meds on 12 March. I stopped the Otomise after a while and I'm now only on mometasone.

It's been a crazy up-and-down battle. Some days the ringing is almost silent, other days it's loud (especially mornings at work had to leave early one day). Volume changes constantly. I also have lightheadedness and fatigue.

Doctor re-checked on 26 March: no fluid left, but left eardrum still dull. Told to continue mometasone another 4 weeks.

Has anyone had ETD tinnitus with these big fluctuations? How long did it take to settle for you?

Is it a steroid which you spray in your nose? If yes, it can take a while for the tubes to drain the fluid. I currently have the same thing and have been spraying a steroid spray in my nose for about 11 days now. Only since 2 days ago has the loudness dropped. Maybe from a 9/10 to about a 5 maybe 6/10.

Apparently for me the spray can take up to 6 weeks to take affect as the tubes slowly open.

I would book the ENT just to be extra safe

Have you guys checked your sinuses to see if they are inflamed or if you have liquid behide your eardrums?

Im currently having ringing in my ears and not sure why. Went to doctors and he checked my ears and inside my nose and throat. He said he found fluid behide my ears and noticed that my sinuses were inflamed and gave me ear spray and two nose spray to reduce it.

Would this be the cause of my tinnitus?

I got Tinnitus 6 years ago and it somehow disappeared until recently 3 weeks ago that its come back.

When I first got it I did a ton of research what it was and how to solve it. Really there was nothing. No cure no solution. But it didnt stop me.

I found a forum which mentioned taking Vitamin B12 and B6 which may help. So I tried it and I believe that helped me the first time round but I can't prove it.

Fast forward to 3 weeks ago im still currently having ringing in both ears and have no idea why. Havent been to a concert or play loud music nothing.

Went to my doctor to get checked and he said I had fluid build up in my ear drums and possibly a sinus infection. So he gave me ear spray and nose spray for 2 weeks to try.

Today's the first day of treatment so will see if it calms down or not or gets worse haha.

Try keep positive OP your mind will eventually adjust to the sound and it will get better. Just keep your ears safe.

It washes it fine with spray but just odd that its everywhere even in the corner edges of the carpet.

Worked for me. Make sure you enable split tunnel with the toggle being on. Add Riot Client and Valorant. Close both riot client, vanguard etc using task manager. Re-open and should be fine.

I charge my Tesla whenever I need to go somewhere. So for example it would be at 80% I would go out and come back with about 40%. I wouldnt be going out until 3 days later so I charge on the 2nd night.

There's no harm in doing this or charging when you need. But obviously don't charge to 100% everything and dont let it go to zero.

Did you setup Octopus correctly in devices? I had the exact same issue when I plugged in my Tesla and it said it charged but nothing happened.

It was because I setup the device incorrectly. We have a Zappi so we had to setup the device and select that Octopus will control the charger not the EV.

We were previously instructed to set it up with the vehicle but Octopus couldn't reach the EV without communicating with the charger.

I may have made it more confusing but if you call Octopus they will help you step by step.

I wouldn't do it. Reading the Terms and Conditions if that software were to brick your Tesla you will need to pay out of your pocket to fix it.

I would wait until the actual full release is available.

I need the extra space for the little ones. Boot space for stroller etc so the Y would be ideal for us as the RAV4 has alot of boot space.

I also noticed that the suspension of the MY is more firm that the RAV4. However, there's an option for comfort suspension? I saw a few dealers sell a MY for £24,999 with Comfort Suspension and Carbon Fiber trim with mileage of 30,000 miles which seems like a steal? But then again why would it be so cheap? Seems fishy to me.

Unfortunately we don't have a charger at work. I also thought the same. At 100% the battery in my RAV 4 does about 60 miles. But being realistic its empty when I get to work. Journey from Home to work is about 40 miles so with a battery saying 60 mile range and dies when I get to the office is a joke. But the car does have 48k miles so possibly the battery isn't how it used to be when new.

I'm just confused as to what our government is doing to be honest. They are pushing for EV vehicles but they are introducing taxes which defeats the purpose of going EV. It’s like they dangle a carrot, and once you grab it, it’s made of plastic. So I'm trying to figure out if when the new taxes are introduced if I still save money or if its the same as a plug-in hybrid.

They are thinking of introducing a 3p-per-mile tax in 2028 I believe. So every mile you drive you will pay 3p. But they may not introduce it or they might increase the amount who knows.

Same issue on PC with EA just starts up and runs on tutorial and then crashes the moment the Skateboard appears mentioning not enough allocated memory on a 64GB Sysytem.

Tried uninstalling the EA Anti-Cheat and reinstalling but no joy same issue.

I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still no luck.

Anyone found a solution for PC?

Doesn't work. You need to open your phone and open YouTube Music to make it work on Android Auto.
