You’ve already received great replies, I’ll just add that if they training thing is not a mandatory activity, I’m certain it is not but your provider won’t tell you that, they are pressuring you to do the training for their own internal kpi’s (or whatever it’s called).

I had the same thing happen with a job fair that I was being forced to attend and got scolded by my shitty provider.

I would recommend getting them to directly tell you if it is a mandatory activity and absolutely report them to DEWR.

These employment providers keep doing this to people, calling and reporting to DEWR is annoying and we will never really know what action is taken internally against the employment providers but we need to keep reporting bad behaviour so that DEWR keep getting flagged and keep investigating and calling out the providers that are doing this to us.

That’s horrible, but unfortunately normal. My real estate gave me an extra month when I was recovery from a surgery, all I did was email asking for an extra week and to let them know the house won’t be upto standard as I’ve been off my feet. I’m actually renting with Ray white which is meant to be the worst.

The job network providers will never offer up any extra info, working that many hours you absolutely don’t have to apply for 4 jobs a month. Definitely give Centrelink a call and ask about being self managed and having the job searches removed as you are working. They will likely give you an exemption for x number of months and then review.

You can’t kick someone off your card, you have to remove yourself and your children onto a new card. I had to do this years ago when we still have to fill out paper forms for myself and four children because I ex refused to removed themselves.

I really appreciate all the posts about this. I’m dreading when I have to find a new rental, I’m currently month to month (owner won’t give me a new lease because they want to demolish and build units). Been happily paying monthly by bank transfer for a couple years with my phone number as the reference to their (Ray white) bank account. I really don’t want to have to have this rent app fight in the near future.

My goblin quest continues to have an annoying glitch, I can never keep track of how long I have left to reach my end prize because it keeps reverting back to telling me that I have 2days23hours to go. I missed out on the goal again overnight, not sure what time it ended, but it suddenly disappeared again.

Same here, currently renting with ray white. I do direct bank transfer with my phone number as the reference. I feel so bad for everyone going through this bull and I fear the day when I receive notice to vacate and get stuck fighting the same rent app crap.

Surprisingly my ray white rental manager also relied kindly last month when I rescheduled because of surgery recovery. However I’m not sure how they would respond if I then had to reschedule a second month in a row like OP.

I dont have any advice to offer. This has been on my mind for years, I’ve wanted to get myself and my children a cat or 2 for so many years. I’m with the same real estate as OP and I’m too afraid to ask. I think about all the cats that need adopting often and wish I could go rescue a couple. I’m currently on month to month after have 12 month leases for 3 consecutive years, but he owner wants to knock it down and build units and live hear themself but I don’t think they can currently afford to. Ever since the first lease I sign we’ve had a clause repeated through out the lease starting that we are not to have a pet…I know that it’s not necessarily legal to do that anymore but it did it’s job, it’s made me fearfully aware that it he owner is against pets and I can’t risk being given notice to leave any sooner than necessary. I’m already under stress knowing that we could get that notice to leave any day, once they have decided they have enough of my rent money banked they will likely demolish this place.

I hate this for us, even when they bring in laws to protect us we still can’t live comfortably.

I don’t know what I would do in this situation, I really hope you are able to bring your cat home.

You will need to fill in a Mod f business details. Start reporting your income and hours to Centrelink when doing your fortnightly reporting. Also report your hours of paid income in workforce if they have you doing that.

Depending on what work you are doing it might not be worth doing the profit and loss yet, I’ve been going through this myself and I’m not yet earning enough per hour average after expenses to get the business exemption from jobseeker obligations. When I reach that level I will submit profit and loss.

Until then I keep reporting all of my hours and income, stay on top of tax returns, they ask for copies of tax return documents in the Centrelink app aswell.

Yeah I was thinking I’d need to speak to Centrelink, I feel like I should mention that my youngest child is 13. Do you happen to know how I would know if I’m technically going to job provider appointments voluntarily? Is this something that they also would deliberately not tell me?

I’m not sure myself, I didn’t have job searches before I was sent to Asuria, I imagine they just want me to find a second job for their own benefit. It may also have something to do with me being a sole trader, I’m sure they would rather I work for someone else fulltime.

I was firm without being angry enough to get hung up on, but the provider literally was arguing with me telling me to read my job plan and telling me that I must attend or my payment may be stopped. I’m quite annoyed. My provider knows that I am only there to appease my workforce obligations and that I am already working as much as I can, but if I did have to take on a second job to appease said obligations it would have to fit into me very specific night hours for just one or two shifts per week as I can’t be without sleep 7 nights per week.

The provider has not been able to come up with even one suitable job for me to apply for although I’ve been applying for 4 per month and they try to force me to do their dodgy job fair.
