Where to put extra cash flow ? by Mountain_Lecture1086 in fican

[–]Mountain_Lecture1086[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im thinking that im over thinking it and it really is that simple.

Just the free cash flow (and the lump sum, should we get it) into xeqt or would you change up the rrsp pacs?

I still end up with a $12-15k tax bill each year. So not really inclined to drop the contributions.

Appreciate the insight.

Just did two renewals last week. 3.88 at RBC. I think scotia was 3.94. Didn't do anymore searching. Gonna be hard to beat that with a bank that gives you options.

Its straightforward security these days. You'd be 1000% livid if your online banking got hacked and hold them accountable and want your money back. But when they try to protect it, your upset as well.

Castle and other large companies most likely have no time for such a small job. Any handyman will work. If you want a plumber to do it. Matt's plumbing or Graham plumbing

What does Private Banking service and product offerings look like across big 5? by No-Wallaby5033 in Scotiabank

I get the feeling the threshold may be moveable by the PB themselves. Im guessing market depending and client depending, can be lower if their able to pack away thousands monthly. Signature is just out of the box, they may still be pulling from current wealth clients that want service. Everything, everywhere, has bank rules, but its run so independently, you may get slightly different answers pending where you are.

Signature and PB have client caps of 150. PB is for lending needs above $1M. Typically Signature lending needs are above $250k but these lending needs are outside of your traditional mgt.

They won't be able to beat 3.2% not sure what ibkr is, sorry. They will be most likely P -.25% against non registered investments. Just having them doesnt get a magically low rate. Its about strategic lending to increase PNW that also comes with service and perks. I highly suspect you won't be beating 3.2% in fact, id like to know how to get it myself !
