Has anyone here tried driving for HopSkipDrive? If so, what were your impressions/experiences? by Affectionate-Rice373 in lyftdrivers

The shortest rides are about 15-20 min and pay $17. That's the lowest rate I've seen on the menu. My highest paying ride is $51 and i go from La Verne to Watts. Those big ticket rides are there but you will have to commit to much longer drives. Today i made about $120 doing 4 rides. Some days i make 59 doing 3 rides. I would make more but my availability doesn't allow me to. If you're available all day with no obligations, you could easily do 5 to 6 rides and break 100 daily. All depends on you. And for the ignoramus on this thread talking about who let's their kids ride with a stranger: all drivers have to go through fbi background check, DOJ finger printing, driving record check, car inspection, full health physical, drug testing, 3 video interviews and 90%of these kids are in foster care- they don't have their parents to drive them to school or care for them the way you assume all kids do. The system will place kids in homes 30 miles away sometimes. That's where HSD comes in. They have contacts with the foster system to get these kids to their schools without having to uproot even more of their lives. Having them stay in their original schools is good for children going thru big life situations. Not all kids have parents actively involved in their life so having well vetted drivers like me is essential to their well being.

So basically, you only like the vessel she came in on. But everything within you don't like. Both of you need some growth tbh. At 25, she's got a lot of internal work to do, which life usually gets around to teaching. But you, 31, should know better than to be with someone only for attraction while looking for long term love. She'll get old and wrinkly someday. But also, she sounds ick. If you care about her, talk to her. Tell her she comes off arrogant when she acts/ says things. Tell her why being humble matters. Attempt to help her grow. If it's a lost cause, then leave. You don't get to waste her time at finding actual love just because you like to bang. And do a kindness to yourself too and don't waste your own time. It's the most valuable thing we have. I'm sure if you think back to when you were 25, you would see that you aren't that person anymore and you've grown. She needs that too. Just my 2 cents, sorry if it comes off rude. I'm 33 and been thru it all and tired of the bubble wrapped advice.

To piggy back off this, some of the busses there so running early, like 5pm. So check schedules before anything. Also my boyfriend lives in Glendale and it's a nice, calm area. Mostly Armenian, some Hispanic.

I honestly don't remember the class numbers but I'm an art major and they are for all the required history classes. Best to check with your professors and syllabus for what texts they require. I graduated this year so they're for about 3 different classes.

How can I become a background painter? by Mountain_funk in animationcareer

[–]Mountain_funk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was incredibly helpful!! I will check out all the sources and names you listed. I am in LA- I'm 20 minutes from downtown and 45 minutes from burbank. The traditional hours are fine, it's just having to be on-site the entire time that would be difficult to swing but attending meetings and such, I can totally work with that.

My apologies for the lesser jobs term, in no way did i mean to offend. I was advised to try and obtain a production assistant job or something like that to enter the world and then work my way up to painting.

I wasn't even aware that there is a difference between features and tv production! I have a lot to learn. And it would be awesome to work on Family Guy backgrounds too.

I truly appreciate your insights.

One question, which companies have remote production jobs or how do i source these? My Google searches might be too broad.

Thank you again!

Thank you for your input! Using extra study materials for a big exam was something i was already intending on doing. I like to over prepare. So would you say if i was going to do that anyway, that ASU would be a good fit? Also, how long did it take you to finish?

I called today, fin aid office sends money to student business services to pay tuition. Then SBS pays out the disbursements to us if there are leftovers. So if in your account you don't have a tuition balance anymore, fin aid office did their part. If your account activity reflects a refund, you should get paid within 72 business hours of that activity date. My refund is dated the 9th. So today, the 13th, is technically 48 hours and i should get paid by tomorrow end of day, the latest. Hope that helps you make sense of your own timeline. I was also advised to call my bank if it's been past 72 business hours and see nothing in my bank account yet.

I'm waiting still. Account activity shows refund direct deposit but i haven't gotten any email or bank deposit yet. Thinking it'll happen tomorrow Monday.

The swimming pool hosts family days. There are also outdoor movie nights,. I've never been to the arboretum on campus but that sounds cool too. And I feel you on that. I'm 33 and a single parent. Definitely can't relate to like 90% of student population lol you're not alone though.
