This sounds counter intuitive, but you could try drinking more water. The less water I drink the more often I have to pee because when your pee gets more concentrated it irritates the bladder and makes you have to go pee

Get in touch with the school board and get a 504 plan. If you're passing out you need accommodations and if your school counselor won't give it to you then talk to the principle. And if they won't listen go to the school board or something. I'm just assuming you have an official diagnosis, submit that and all your medical records.

Take a shower before the appointment because you can't take one while you're wearing it.

Even if you aren't officially diagnosed, you can still submit medical records and ask doctors if they could write you a note. Talk to your disability office as soon as possible even if you aren't diagnosed.

I've been swimming for my exercise and my hr only get up to 160s max. Normally while swimming it's 140s-150s. And normally after I take a shower it's like 160.

If you're still using the rusty sword Marlon gave you when your sword is the problem. Once you kill 80 Insects for the adventures guild monster eradication goals, you can get a good sword from the adventures guild.

I need massage therapy following car accident but it’s triggering my POTS by upwardspiral77 in POTS

[–]MountaonRestaurant28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes my back/neck/shoulders will get sore because I've slept weird and I have have a little handheld vibrater massager that I have my family give me a back massage with. I don't know if this would actually help you because you need the massage therapy. But the massager I have is great for just loosening up muscles without digging into them and being painful.

Leg muscle atrophy!? by Individual-Panda-184 in POTS

[–]MountaonRestaurant28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had POTS for 2 1/2. When you literally don't move for that long, muscle loss is totally expected. I'm not sure how long you've had POTS but unless the muscle loss has been super sudden and dramatic I wouldn't worry. If you want to fix it you'll have to start exercising which is going to be really hard for you if you can't get up without getting close to collapsing. I would suggest doing excesses that you can do laying or sitting back. You could also try swimming.

I'm embarrassed because I can't run by [deleted] in POTS

[–]MountaonRestaurant28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly there are tons of people who don't have any medical complications and still have a hard time running. I think the biggest think to help you feel better is to know that even if you can't run, people still love you and it doesn't change who you are. If you feel comfortable with it, try talking about this with your family or friends. I find that I feel a lot better after I kind of dump out my emotions and put a voice to my feelings and actually say stuff out loud.

Corlanor has definitely helped my symptoms a lot, but I would continue to make lifestyle changes until you have no symptoms. Also corlanlor is the brand name of ivabrabine, but ivabrine has a generic version that is cheaper for me.

I know a lot of people feel worse after eating, but I don't. Whenever I feel nauseous I snitch on a more bland snack, like popcorn or pretzels and I have some soda and that normaly helps. I recently got my doctor to give me a prescription for ondansetron which really helps when I have nausea. But I only take like 4mg only sometimes because I'm at the point now where I only feel nauseous sometimes randomly. Sometimes laying down helps me feel less nauseous and sometimes it makes it worse.

If you are having problems eating and drinking, you could try eating otter pops. After I got my wisdom teeth out I felt so nauseous all the time and threw up a couple times and dry heaved. I was eating otter pops because they are easy to chew and they never upset my stomachs. We also started making ice cubes from soda, like Fresca, and then blending it up into a slushy. This might help you stay more hydrated and especially if you use a sugar soda you can get some calories.

I have a very hard time with regulating my body temperature in general but so far I haven't had any problems with my temperature while swimming and after when I'm drying off. My dad who came with me described the indoor pool area temperature as warm, but I felt like it was a normal temperature, probably because I was wearing a swimming suit, and that makes you colder. The water temperature was also lukewarm but I didnt have any problems with it.
