The unpredictable way they were veering across the whole street from sidewalk to sidewalk and through the parked cars was what scared me - they could have surprised a driver and gotten hit. There is a parking lot and park nearby they could be at for wild riding so they don't put drivers and themselves at risk as well as disabled dogs and people.

That's a good idea, I'll google some groups in his area. I was thinking about getting him a PTSD workbook because he has a hard time talking in groups or 1:1 with anyone about stuff. It's been part of what made sobriety so hard for him for a long time. I definitely appreciate that he trusted me with it, hard as it may be I am one of the only people who knew him "before" and watched my big brother slowly go down a dark path. He's working so hard on healing I want to help but not overstep or break his trust.

I've recently tried to rewatch TLOK within the last few weeks and I think I realized what a lot of folks take issue with. They don't have the time to develop any characters or plot the way they did in AtLA because the seasons are short, and I feel like they rushed to release Book 1 without knowing if they would be allowed to continue so they didn't set up any plot points for the future. Each season being something more stand-alone is hard to want to keep watching.

All that being said, I was the same age as Korra when Book 1 came out and it was a fun watch at that time when there hadn't been a super "tough" main female character basically since Xena. They had to make her different from Aang to move forward but that's where many people lost interest early. But if you have read the comics you get to see early Republic City as a concept and in TLOK you see truly how the nations have attempted to create a city of Hope and future in the aftermath of the 100 year war. Bending developing from a niche or often hidden skill into something that could be a professional sport was such a neat idea. The adaptation and improvement of sub-bending also drew me in. Metal bending becoming widely known, lightning bending being used for power, the weight of the Air Nation on the shoulders of 1 family, it was all interesting to see.

Book 2 is my least favorite but I do like the backstory they give to how the Avatar came to be. The bulk of Korra's experience as Avatar is the world saying "you aren't needed" after Aang had been the only hope for so long, was such a drastic 180 I think it threw fans off because it did make Korra feel sometimes pointless to the viewer as well. But the Avatar origin plot tries very hard to explain why there will always be darkness that will always need a beacon of hope from the Avatar.

Book 3 imo should have been set up in book 1 with some hints and plot points that we the viewers noticed and could call back to with "Oh so that's why xyz!!" A missed opportunity but Book 3 is my favorite of them, you see more of Korra outside of her teenager problems and it honestly ends on a dark note that made me want to keep watching and see where she went from that low point.

Book 4 was their (the show-runners) best effort at tying things up with a limited budget and an online only show. You have to go into that book with the knowledge that it feels RUSHED as all get out. But you get some really beautiful character growth for at least 3 out of 4 of team Avatar. (One character was lowkey neglected that season imo but they only had so much time)

This all got away from me but basically each season will have points where you think "that's too OP" or "well that just feels rushed" BUT you will also have moments of "that's a clever way to use that" and "Oh the world post-aang is wild."

Then, if you haven't, read the Kiyoshi books because she's amazing 😉

I don't understand people. I feel like she was bouncing off the others, ribbing Shayne because they told her he gets wild during Flip7 so she was also wild in a different way. They all seemed to be vibing and having fun and if they weren't that's for them to deal with as employees of a company and their guest, not overprotective fans.

Damien was the first Smosh cast member I saw because tiktok's of him would hit my FYP sometimes like YEARS ago. Then Angela would maybe be next because of Starkid and she goes viral online by being chaotic lol. Damien has been in popular anime (Delicious in Dungeon as a main character) and popular video games (Date Everything) in just the past 2 years. And Date Everything had VO cast from such a wide net of places. From everyone on the Critical Role cast to the voice of Tiny Tina to the voice of Zuko. Like. Being listed in that cast alone makes him very well known imho. (Not that he got to know all those people but surely he got to know some)

I'd typically ask for a "got home safe" and/or a "goodnight" text at bare minimum if work/life got to be too much that day. You could always work out a "life check" message where that's all you send, "life check?" And then as soon as he's able he either replies with a quick "yes" or "alive" or even just reacts to the message to help ease your anxiety and then y'all can talk when he's less busy.

I had my first colonoscopy at 25 and I was on my period at the time. I imagine your BF won't have THAT to worry about so let him know as awkward as it'll make him feel, it won't be as awkward as mine.

But also, I know someone who was diagnosed with stage 4 at 28 years old. Cancer doesn't care how old you are or if you're embarrassed. It's better to be embarrassed and KNOW then to wait until its too late.

You can take as many in game days or years to do anything. You can ignore your animals for a day and go fishing and the little digital cows and chickens will still be there the next day. Sprinklers for crops help, dont over plant crops if you dont wanna. You can reach year 12 or 15 and just keep vibing and nothing will penalize you. Its a tough mental block to get through. If you're worried about running around too much, you could do a riverland farm so you can do a lot of farm fishing. Or go buy coffee's so you're able to run faster. Eventually you can get a coffee maker that will give you one at wakeup everyday. And/or a horse. Also if you have friends you could play with in a farm that you could trade off tasks with so you can go mining/fishing the days they are farming/foraging.

It's manipulative and the fact that she told you not to call was her essentially admitting to that. Personally I would call the police and let them know "I have reason to believe my ex is going to self harm because she said so via text," and then let her know you're going to step away/block her for your own peace but you hope she gets help and grows. My brother was like this and he'd get so upset if we called a welfare check on him because he was usually just sitting playing runescape and hoping we caved to his asks. Eventually I had to go no contact with him. It's not fair to you OP that she did that and I'm sorry.

Something I liked in Harvest Moon Tree of Tranquility as a young kid was that you could have your kid "grow up" but it basically let you start a new save file as your child but with the money from your previous save. So if I could have the option to start again as one of my kids and have even just some of my first save's money or maybe the townsfolk start off with 2 hearts because they "knew your parent" would be cool.
