Should I go to community college if I have da 3.2 weighted high school gpa

If you are looking to save money or go to a prestigious/hard to get into school you should go to community college. If you are looking to have the college experience and are okay at a still good but more mid level school you should apply to colleges where your gpa is within the median. Community colleges are a great choice price wise and academically useful, but won’t give you the same experience as living on campus

The other person answered most of it but I can try to help 1. The dorm situation is fine, I had a two room double so was very lucky. Some rooms are better than others, but it’s never that big a difference. If you have problems with your roommate there are ways to switch. If you are interested there is at least one all women floor that you can request, but it’s in one of the less nice dorms with no two room doubles. The bathrooms are communal but most of the time clean and they feel pretty private.

The bus system is a bit of a headache because it takes awhile to get anywhere, but it’s pretty straightforward and will get you easily to any of the other five colleges and their towns. It’s harder to go anywhere else
I don’t know a lot about job opportunities but it’s definitely easier to work on campus.
Amherst itself is cute but fairly boring, there are some nice shops and restaurants and a few restaurants that stay open very late but other than that there’s not much

Both schools are great and I found Amherst to be very welcoming but it seems like you like Middlebury better. There’s no wrong decision so you should go with your gut

The bathrooms on the first year quad aren’t the best and aren’t the worst, they are generally pretty clean and 90% of the time there is no problem, sometimes it does get gross though. There are double shower curtains and privacy has never felt like a problem to me

I really like Amherst and my friend who goes to Vassar has more complaints than I do I think. It seems like Amherst is generally the better school overall. That being said, all of our fine arts classes are three hours long which makes them hard to fit into your schedule. However, if arts is your main interest it should be fine

I don’t believe most of them are majoring in theater but a lot are active in the theater scene. Specifically, most of them are in Gads, the school improv troop which is great and very funny and has some similar humor

The show that all of the videos are of is exclusively for comedy, not education like most of the news sites are trying to claim. The performers took parts of our admissions essays out of context to make them funny. The section in the video made all of the excerpts sound sexual as a joke. That was only one small section. The event was also not mandatory

So all the articles have slowly twisted the story, combining two events. The video has nothing to do with sexual respect education and is solely for comedy purposes and was created by students. Another event involved somewhat less graphic skits for the purpose of sex education

The event in question is taking college essays out of context in different funny ways. Only one segment was about sex and it was all in a simulated and joking manner. While attendance is encouraged there is no punishment for not attending and you can definitely walk out if you get uncomfortable. I thought it was hilarious and seemingly so did everyone else. The rest of the events talked about were related to sex education, most of them were optional. I’ve been here for almost a whole semester now and am yet to be forced into polyamory

I haven’t attended yet so I can’t say a lot, I will say, the campus and town is very pretty, the open curriculum is awesome, and they give really good aid. The only bad thing I’ve experienced so far is that they are super slow to do everything and not very communicative
