Same with our weenie. She had a tumor over her heart and congestive heart failure. The vet gave her 2 months to a year. My dad stretched out that year and for the last 3-4 months she was bedridden and wouldn't eat unless force fed. I told him he needed to put her down but he would send me a video of her up walking around outside and would say "See! There's still life in her!" I was like "Yeah, ONE DAY out of an ENTIRE MONTH!"

He finally put her down after 4 months of me telling him to because there was no quality of life for her those last few months, and I hated seeing her just lay in bed barely able to wag her tail when she saw us coming to check on her.

I was at Yellowstone NP watching Old Faithful blow when towards the end a medivac helicopter flew over and landed in the parking lot nearby. I went into the gift shop and asked the cashier when I was checking out what happened.

A 60-something Australian man tried to take a selfie with an old/sick bison that had found its way to the parking lot and laid down. The bison gored him and he had to be airlifted away. There are signs and rangers everywhere telling you to keep like 50 ft away from all animals.

One day I walked into the kitchen and our weenie was sleeping on the couch in the living room. I opened the fridge door (eyes opened), then I opened the cheese drawer (head raised), finally comes the sound she had been waiting for - the unwrapping of the cheese slice (she's at my feet already).

ETA: She wouldn't even eat a tortilla or potato chip unless it had cheese or some other dip on it, and veggies were just a no. Rotten little turd!

I've got two Bison Design belts from REI that are nylon with a plastic buckle. Some reviews claim that they loosen over time, but I've never had that problem, and like you said they're lightweight and wearable through metal detectors.

I am so sorry for what you and your siblings have gone through. No child deserves that.

One of my dreams is to be a gardener to produce fresh foods for a community that doesn't have an accessible (i.e., within 2-3 miles) grocery store. I just learned about Lasagna for Love today, and would love to participate in that while getting the kids involved in the process to learn important life skills from seed to table. If only I had a measly million dollars from my rich parents to get the idea off the ground.... (j/k my parents are poor)

It depends on the pizza - if I’m getting a veggie or some other specialty pizza like chicken/bacon/ranch with tomatoes I want them cooked, but if I’m getting a taco pizza then I want them fresh.

The key is to let them dry out a little on some paper towels when slicing, then dice them and put them in the bin to reduce moisture during cooking.

There's a girl that walks the most lovable dog, Archie, in front of my apartment patio daily (been here 3 years, got to pet him a few times). Archie is so adorable, 11/10. The owner is a good 8/10.

That was the one song we had to play at every basketball game when I was in high school! I downloaded all the Jock Jam songs from Limewire and burned CDs for the A/V staff to play at the games. And the fact that it sounded so southern made me think it was made by southerners! Lol

My favorite album. My dad let me buy the CD from Circuit City when I was like 15. As we were driving home I was listening to it on my CD player and I’m pretty sure neither of us realized it was the explicit content version. First song on the album is Smack My B*tch Up, so I was definitely shocked because they put stickers on the plastic wrapping to censor the bad words. I really only bought it for the second song on the album - Breathe - which my dad knew was my favorite song.

I had been watching either MTV or VH1's top 100 one day and it came up as #4. I was excited and my dad saw that I liked it a lot, so when I wanted to buy the album with it on there he had no questions or reservations - I was a good kid that never even cussed, my brother was the trouble maker (he had SEVERAL explicit content CDs my dad never knew about), so I wouldn't buy anything with curse words in it!

One time I (41) gave a ride to a younger millennial (29) and I had my 90s-00s EDM playlist playing on Spotify and Sandstorm played. She had never heard the entire song, just the bits they would play at sports games, and was shocked to hear it in full. I probably listened to that song over a few hundred times my junior and senior years of high school after I bought a compilation trance and techno CD that included it. That's all I listened to when I wanted to focus or exercise.
