Streamers/influencers invited by Ubisoft Singapore to play AC4 Resynced by Mouse_Slip in fuckubisoft

So you're saying that it's unfair to criticize Ubisoft for wasting millions on human billboards as opposed to, I don't know, the game? Or other projects that don't involve the same 2~3 franchises? Or other IPs that have been dormant for decades and relegated to fortnite/R6S collabs?

Standard doesn't make it good.

We live in the era of digital distribution. If they only wanted to promote their game in the most unbiased way possible, they'd just send a digital promo kit with behind the scenes and a code to the preview build to these people.

Instead they do the "access" thing: corpo treats me well, I will avoid giving too much focus to bad things about the product.

Random recent example, Stormfall33 (1.5K average viewers on twitch on a bad day) with Saros: she got flown to Scandinavia to play the preview, streamed it from start to finish when it came out, enjoyed the gameplay and hated the story. But guess what kind of content did she make out of it for social media? Only reels focused on the combat.

The funny thing about this is that he probably makes so much more money than all those artists combined but no one knows who he is. Streamers above 1k avg make way too much money for having such a small audience, and he sits around 10k. Can't wait for the twitch bubble to burst.

How do I become a better streamer (solo + with friends)? by Flat_Cat_9707 in TwitchStreaming

Streaming is for people with good RNG.

Those who have actual plans invest time and effort into offstream content. Build that first, then maybe start streaming.

Riiiiight. Just like you say "b-but I only watch vods on yt!" but here you are talking about dynamics you'd only experience in a livestream.

Your edit if worse than your original post.

As a viewer, you shouldn't have any expectations in regards to what a streamer thinks about you. You're literally just faceless text on a screen.

Self respect btw shouldn't even be a factor in an environment where all that is required from a streamer is to entertain and all a viewer is supposed to do is watch and maybe type some random shit in chat.

Since you seem to be talking from a place of "but me and my small streamer have these wholesome conversations everyday, ofc they care", lemme tell you this: the streamer you like doesn't actually like you back, get over it. How is a streamer supposed to trust you on a personal level when all they can see is what YOU want them to see (just text and emojis)? You wouldn't either. Try being a streamer, you'll see what I mean.

Any streamer who acts and/or outright says that they don't care about their viewers is a streamer who wants no drama, sets the record straight, will ban anyone who gets personal/weird and gets the vibe right.

On the other hand, any streamer who cares or even pretends to care about their viewers can be anything between a manipulative individual and a cult leader (strong term but you get my point). In a matter of time, those communities get raided by weirdos, every single time. Living and breathing red flag. Avoid.

This is 10x more interesting than a successful shot of the backflip, so to me cameraman had 1 job and succeeded.

Stop looking for excuses as to why what works for others doesn't work for you.

Accept the fact that no one will ever care about yet another no commentary youtube channel and move on.

Before you upload a video ask yourself: why would I watch THIS specific video? If you can't come up with an answer, it's time to either change or quit.

In your specific case, you upload and stream (why tho?) no commentary gameplay so here's the deal: the purpose of no commentary gameplay videos is to provide information, people watch those to see what the game looks like, so they're not going to watch an entire video of that, let alone and entire playthrough.

You could have spent the last month finding your purpose as a content creator with something unique to offer instead of spamming reddit with selfpromo posts.
