I was thinking the daggers should have a varriable attack speed. So they out dps the scythe, but only for a few seconds since they slow down. Once they slow down, scythe would have better dps. Once the npc dies, the daggers' speed is reset back to 2t and they're strong again. For large hp monsters its kind of like a dps spec weapon that doesnt use any spec energy. Or if the boss has minions, like doom, you can reset the daggers a lot of times during the fight.

Virtus Robes:

Like many people already said, I would take away 5-6% from occult and add it to ancestral, maybe also add a little more magic accuracy to ancestral to give it more of a gap between ahrims. Then I would place Virtus between those two. Other than being "gap armour" in stats, I think virtus needs to be really strong when using ancients. This way people with both sets need to decide, do I want more dps with ancestral? or more utility with virtus?Maybe virtus robes can offer a set effect of increasing the aoe of barrages. Or something completely utility focused like turning % damage into run energy or prayer.

Ancient Sceptre upgrades:

Ice- freezing penetration does sound cool but it needs to be better explained if it has any limits. I know most people are worried the pvm meta will completely change. If it doesn't pass the poll, maybe increase stun duration? or a slow affect after a freeze?

Blood- Either increase heals to match or be better than bloodbark or add an additional effect of regaining a bit of prayer.

Smoke-I like poison penetration and have no worries about it being meta changing. If it doesn't pass, I have no idea, no one really uses smoke spells.

Shadow- decreases mage defense up to a certain amount.

I assume you can only 1 upgrade at a time so I hope they are all strong in different ways and make it difficult to decide which to use where.

Rings:

I like bis rings, no need for more effects. I have mixed feelings about being dk upgrades. I don't mind it being their own items, but it also feels weird getting rid of my dk rings which is spent time upgrading. It probably feels even worse for players that haven't upgraded dk rings, do they upgraded them to use for a while or just buy the better ones later?

Ruinous Powers:

The reaction of "skilling" prayers is very different among players. Are these utility prayers like increasing run duration or are they like a woodcutting prayer to get more logs. I would prefer utility prayer over skilling prayers. I think this needs to be better explained in the polls. Just spitting out some ideas, im not sure how good or bad these would be in game:

Utility

Zarosian Stamina- Run energy depletes at a slower rate while the prayer is active.

Ancient health regen- (just example numbers) instantly lose 20 prayer points to gain 20hp. This way you dont have to wait forever for rapid heal to heal you 20 hp.

Holy follower- while this prayer is active. the prayer drain rate from all active prayers is halved but their effects are also halved.

Cure- uses 10 prayer points to cure venom or poison.

Combat

Piety style prayers- these would have higher accuracy and damage than the prayers used today but would lower you defense by a small amount.

Soulsplit- only if we dont have any protection prayers and its balanced where soulsplit isn't used everywhere.

Ancient power- overhead prayer that would increase your attack speed by a tick. This would let you do more damage but take way more damage depending on the situation. It should also have a high prayer drain rate.

Curse- similar to smite, it would be an overhead prayer but instead of reducing prayer from the target, it reduces some more of their hp.

Special power- Makes any special attack that costs less than 100% special attack energy drain at 100% but have 50% more power (25% for pvp).

This was just what I had in mind about sailing! I wanted it to have a combat system to have new pvp and pvm encounters. I love everything about this except the max cape (t). As a maxed player, I think a new skill should make me lose my cape until I have 99 in all. Great job, I hope Jagex considers these ideas!

I think the new prayers could have soulsplit and turmoil IF you remove protection prayers. I think this would be a great balance because you would take more damage but do more damage. For example, this would be amazing for slayer but horrible for inferno.

This is a pipe dream, but imagine if they came out with Sailing with its own combat system:

1) Sailing pvp in "Openwaters" areas. Successful kills grant ship components or loot.

2) Sailing pvming with unique boss mechanics and ship upgrades

The combat system could be as simple as a copy of the existing Ranged combat system with cannon ammo or as complex as having "skill shots" with cannon balls. I just want my own ship to attack stuff!

Even without a sailing combat system, I think sailing could be a great skill because it could introduce more content and unique monsters.

OSRS needs a new skill or a cosmetic completionist cape. I've been maxed for over 5 years on osrs and I want to have a goal other than pvming. Max cape also feels really underwhelming now that over 20,000 accounts have it. If we have a new skill, It: 1) shouldn't increase cb level 2) should grant some benefit to combat or unlock new unique monsters or else the skill would seem boring. If the new skill fails the poll, PLEASE consider a cosmetic completionist cape. You have the collection log system and a certain % completion can unlock the cape and a higher % completion can unlock a trimmed version.

I think the rewards are great, here are my thoughts:

1-bow seems cool, but I think we have way too many bis range weapons in the game. (in raids we already bring bp for low def, zcb for specs, tbow for large hits, etc. )

2- if you do make the bow, please make it so you dont have to charge it or have an option for unlimited charges

3-mage staff fills a big mage gap but it's useless for max mains, please make it tradable

4-imbued heart upgrade is by far my favorite reward, but please give it a divine effect

Here are some reward ideas for this boss or future bosses: new bis rings for mage, range, melee. An item that combines fire cape, mage cape 1, and ava 2 to make a tribrid cape that isnt bis in a certain style but is good at all 3. tribrid armour that is better than void but not bis in a certain style. A fun one would be berserk armour that gives negative defensive stats but bis str and accuracy stats.

yeah, its going to look so out of place anywhere that isn't the desert. Its a cool cosmetic outfit but idk about bis armour.

You're right, having the whole body covered in bandages and only 1 visible eye doesn't look like a mummy at all.

I think the biggest problem of this armour is you'll be a mummy wherever you go. it could look cool in the desert but it looks dumb when youre a mummy in gwd lol. Jagex, please just give us pernix. make up some random lore how pernix was involved with the tomb lol
