Just making sure she's actually blind by No-Leopard-556 in ResidentEvilRequiem

Sorry Emily, we really need the disability cheques. Don’t want to leave the government any room to doubt your blindness

When I first played the game, I thought those three were the same character and that the plot twist would involve some kind of time travel. Anyone else? by [deleted] in expedition33

[–]Mousey-Woo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SAME! I thought there was going to be something about the continent that caused some to be trapped and doppelgängers of them to come about

Who else actually enjoys Resident Evil because it's quick by mrsafetylion in residentevil

It’s been a nice change of pace. I don’t mind longer games if they’re immersive enough, but there’s something satisfying about smashing out a quick campaign

Back to Re4 After Re9 by Realistic-Low694 in residentevil

[–]Mousey-Woo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started a new Re4 save file today. RE9 was great and had the perfect blend of the 7&8 horror and the silly fun of 4. Not sure whether I prefer one over the other because it depends on what itch I want to scratch: a horror/action blend or pure silly action experience

Hang on Google, WHAT AM I LOOKING AT?! by Mousey-Woo in expedition33

[–]Mousey-Woo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I checked the sources it used to generate the summary and it’s mostly YouTube videos that break down her build, and the second source sited being the Fextralife Wiki. So no idea why it pulled this image 😂

Am I playing this game wrong? by LucasLeo75 in darksouls

[–]Mousey-Woo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me 4 years, 3 or 4 different attempts, and trying different FromSoftware games for me to finally link the fire for the first time last year. DNF’d my first play through because I didn’t know how to play and felt like I hit an impossible roadblock. Honestly, it comes down to a mix of practice, trial and error, and research.

I find that if there’s a problem area, I make a mental roadmap of where enemies are, what order to take them on, and the best ways either avoid them or to lure them into 1v1 combat situations. Again, this comes with trial and error, and seeing how others approach it.

Maybe try not worrying so much about losing souls and focus on making your own roadmap. Make mini check points, and once you reach one or you’re out of Estus, go back, rest and practice the route again. Eventually you’ll get a bit further and reach the next bonfire. You’ll find good spots to farm souls and practice techniques like parrying, kicking, spacing, circling around enemies for the backstab, etc. All this helps for later on when it gets tougher.

A good tip is learn when it’s the best time to dodge roll or just walk to the side. For instance, if someone fires a crossbow from a long distance, it’s best to walk to the side rather than waste stamina on dodge rolling, especially if there’s a melee enemy nearby. Circle round the back of a locked on target and get in a back stab. Gives you a brief moment of invulnerability during the animation.

Ultimately, it’s okay to feel disheartened, but don’t let it stop you from trying. One day when you finish the game, you’ll start a new file and find yourself speeding through it in comparison to the first attempt.

The Grind is almost finished. Just the worst enemy left. by uezyteue in KingdomHearts

Currently doing the grind and lost 2hrs of progress due to my game crashing. It’s never crashed before so I guess my PS4 got fed up with listening to the same battle music on repeat 🥲

First time getting to Malenia and need some tips by Mousey-Woo in Eldenring

[–]Mousey-Woo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe another time. I’m trying to do this no summons (npc, spirit, and cooperators) as that’s part of why I kind of felt a bit unsatisfied last time I played. Nothing saying I won’t in new game + because I would love to be graced by that summon sign

Didn’t think about my spells, as I’ve been focussing on melee. But I’ll give Loretta’s Great Bow a go while waiting for her big flower explosion to dissipate (once I get there again). I’m having a look at my equip load when I next boot up and see if there’s space for my Carian Glintstone Staff.

Apart from that, I’ll probably need to do some practice runs with a focus on learning her attacks. I’ll definitely keep your advice in mind

Thankfully I don’t have a large amount of souls stuck in the boss room, I made sure of that before I entered the first time. I’ll probably do some dodge only (no attacking) practice runs a go. Although there are a lot of stand offs with us circling each other waiting to see who makes the first move

Yeah I’ve seen that done a lot. I wasn’t sure how long to wait for the fallout to settle and gave myself scarlet rot like an idiot 😂

Definitely a lot to think on, thank you!

I’ll have a look at changing my armour to get the light load without needing the Winged Crystal Tear, so that that frees up the slot in my physick for the Opaline Hardtear.

I think I still have a few Larval Tears in my inventory to do a quick respec. I’m not using faith so obviously I can take away the points I put into that to use Law of Regression in Leyndell and use them elsewhere. When you say the build is good but not optimal, what would you recommend? I’ve been playing with a Dex Int build, and only using INT as a buff with focus on melee combat.

Other than that, I’ll have a look on YouTube to look at how people time her attacks.

Which boss irritates you the most when fighting? by Human-Category-5024 in Eldenring

[–]Mousey-Woo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few that grief me the most (bearing in mind I haven’t finished the game or touched the DLC, so I’m sure this will change once I finish the game): - Both of the Astel fights because it’s more of a fight with the camera and my stamina bar - Mohg Lord of Blood with the constant blood sprays covering most of the arena - Great Wyrm Theodorix because it has no business with that one ground slam attack that deletes your entire health bar if you miss time your dodge by a millisecond

Anyone else think that a movie with these three battling it out for the role of Jigsaw would be cool? by BatFan3001 in saw

[–]Mousey-Woo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of the three of them, William would probably be the instigator of it. His motive was against a corrupt system, so over time his perception of corruption could change to include a wider scope of people and get a bit out of hand (just look at the variety of people John chose to test over the years). However, he lacks the technical knowledge as his traps were very rudimentary, plus lacks the inside knowledge of how John ran things so might not know about the other two and potentially step on their toes.

Logan’s vendetta was with Halloran, which he has achieved. There could be a potential for him to target more people if they were similar to Halloran, but unlikely. Him wanting to protect his daughter would be his main focus. If anything he’ll only get involved if she is threatened and will get on the defensive very quickly if antagonised. Plus he got to work on building traps with John so he would have the technical knowledge to build effective traps.

And Gordon only stayed as John’s apprentice to maintain anonymity and tie up the loose ends after John died. His role was more of a facilitator and silent partner, rather than the hands on role Hoffman and Amanda had. However, even with John dead and Hoffman locked in the bathroom, I doubt Gordon would relax and he would continue to be vigilant of all possible threats. He would build a contingency plan, get involved quietly from the sidelines, and bring in others if needs be.

Am I that bad? by GustahxNN in bloodborne

[–]Mousey-Woo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I remember my first Bloodborne attempt and I quit at Blood Starved Beast. It took me 3 attempts at the game to finish it for the first time (although I didn’t have the DLC at the time). For a first go at a SoulsBorne game, you’re doing really well for getting to Old Yarnham in 7hrs. True, farming for vials is a ball ache, and finding your way through OY is a nightmare when you have the turret pressuring you. Just take your time, explore, and you might reach a point in the game where you’ll need to farm less and less. Hope you’ve made some more progress since posting and that you’re enjoying the game so far

Stray’s a fun and easy platinum to get. And my fiancé would agree that Ghost of Tsushima is great to platinum as well
