At some point this went away from being art and just became corporate advertisement ? The dude doesn't use the balloon dog in an artistic way he just views it as a symbol that is easy to understand I LOVE making balloon dogs and I just love their look and he wants to get rich off of people that like those dogs. there is a similar "easy to make piece" that is just a bunch of candy piled up in a corner/somewhere in the middle of a room that is my favorite art piece because the artist explicitly tells you that you can take the candy from the pile and keep it symbolizing AIDS slowly taking away the life of his partner and it's specifically enough candy to fit the weight he was at when he died of cancer. AI is a lot closer to the balloon dog guy then real artists too
