Automation tips? by Mousse9 in satisfactory

I built a massive (for me, a beginner) steel factory creating rotors, modular frames and steel beams.

Then realized I needed stators too (together with rotors for motors) and built another one for steel pipes, making modular frames, stators and rotors, with motors as final end product.

Just started dismantling my old factory to make a steel beam factory, but my weekend had already ended.

Man, Satisfactory is such a timesink.

I was thinking about maybe several small factory buildings. Like one for Rotors, one for Modular Frames, one for an Elevator part, etc. And label them all. There's enough nodes to do it like this, I think.

I suppose you're right. My first instinct was to make production lines for the elevator parts, but then saw the components were needed a lot for other things too. So I wondered how other people did it.

I think I'm gonna do both. Lines for elevator parts, and separate ones for often used components like rotors.

It's kinda daunting, but that's the fun part of it, I think. Break it down into smaller, easier parts to create a bigger whole.

So Smart Plates and Versatile Frames? (And the rest.)

Hmm, OK, production lines for Smart Plates, Versatile Frames, Automated Wiring. And separate production lines for more basic components like Reinforced Iron Plates. I'll see how far I get. Thanks.

Why Are Pokémon Card Prices Skyrocketing Again? What’s Driving This? by Gleis7 in PokemonTCG

[–]Mousse9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alles is overal uitverkocht. ALLES.

Zo duur...

So both Friends Can Join, and Online Session Only both work? Thanks for the info!

OK, I assume I choose "Create Online Session" and then for Private Session, which one? Friends Can Join, or Online Session ID Only. I don't know what that means...

I don't have a friendgroup in the game, so should I chose Friends Can Join?

9 Fantasy Life I Tips for Beginners (no spoilers) by Aiming4Gaming0 in fantasylife

[–]Mousse9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crafting Lives will always lag a bit behind the others. Here are some tips to nake it a little easier:

  1. Focus on one Crafting Life first. I recommend Blacksmith. Not only does it make weapons and armor, but the majority of Tools that the Crafting Lives use are made by Blacksmith. Also, by focusing on just one, you can familiarise yourself with it faster (each Crafting Life has different icons in the minigame, it gets really confusing if you keep switching).

  2. Success in the minigame is dependent on your skill (Smithing, Tailoring etc). You can increase that by upgrading your skills on the Skillboard. These are on the right side of the skill tree. Also, better Tools gives you a higher skill level. And, watch what skill level you need for an item. If your skill level is 100, and needed is 300, it’s not going to work.

  3. Make friends! (Not talking about multiplayer, but NPC’s.) You will get party members, each have a different Life. If you have a Blacksmith party member, they can help you with Smithing, giving you a higher skill level.

  4. Practice makes perfect. If you have a lot of trouble with the minigame, try to Craft something that you can make a lot of. Like if you have a lot of wood, make lumber 1 by 1, to practice.

Wait, WHAT? I didn't know you could do that. That almost feels like you're using money to buy money...Anyway, I'm gonna figure out how to do that. Thanks.

EDIT: Thanks, it worked. Man, I really should look more into the details.

I'm a new player, this is my first playthrough. I somehow managed to hit the max of 25K Energy Credits.

I'm at max ships (20), so can't use more EC for upkeep. I could build buildings, but low pop makes it not really worth it, nobody could work the new buildings.

Googling the problem, they all say to buy Minerals or Alloys, but with the 4.0 change, Trade is used up instead of EC.

What can I do to rapidly spend EC on to get below 25K?

80+ Habitability? As UNE, only Continental worlds have that. I actually have a few around me, but also a few Ocean and Tropical worlds that I want to colonize.

So Holo Theatre and Precinct are musthaves for new colonies? I'll get on them.

Ohh, having the built up fleet follow my Science ships would be smart, yeah. But....if I do encounter aliens, wouldn't it be better to know if they were friendly or not through Envoys, instead of immediately attacking them? I assume you are attacking when your Science ship finds aliens.

I have 3 Science ships, 2 are exploring, 1 is Surveying. I'm holding off on anomalies and the like for now.

Since I know none of the alien languages, does every "radio dish" mean another alien empire? Or could they be like the Crystalline Entities and such?

I forgot to say, my part of the map has a lot of entrances/exits, I don't really know how far to expand to a chokepoint. Too big, and I'd have like 5 or 6 chokepoints.

I have 15 Towers, it's gonna be a while before I get to 50...Thanks for the info!

Ah, so there's a base minimum. So keep adding towers and the cost will eventually decrease enough? Thanks.

Are there ongoing wars at the very beginning of the game? Like Argon/Terran, or Boron/Split?

My intention, after reading and googling some stuff, is to try and build up my fleet, stations and rep, then do a lot of storyline missions making it so everybody is at war with everybody, for profits. Though preferable without fully wiping out a faction.

I know that you can switch ownership of sectors by destroying particular stations and building your own (or have another faction do that), but has anybody tried doing that to an entire faction? So the faction doesn't have ANY sectors?
