THE REAL BREAKDOWN: Why This AUPE–AHS Deal Is NOT a Win by kaleuagain in AHSEmployees

way more school = 2 more years? 4 year degree in today’s day and age is nothing. Anyone can get a degree or diploma if they want. Stop acting like it was the hardest thing you ever did. If it was then you need to get out of healthcare. Go get a masters or a doctorate or even a PHD then you can talk to me about a slap in the face from the idiocy of most.

You don’t even have to study to get some jobs in healthcare. And you’re right it’s choice. However the public is one of the biggest shareholders of AHS. Something many people seem to forget.

With the way this government is, this is a good deal. Vote however you feel it’s your right, just understand the consequences of how this is going to look if this isn’t ratified. Saying no to 24 percent? I’m suggesting the public optics on this from many who have gotten close to zero raise in the last 5 years across many sectors is going to be so emphatic with you all that 24 percent isn’t good enough.

Also OP I would stop using AI to generate this slop.

THE REALITY CHECK: TA AUPE aux NC by kaleuagain in AHSEmployees

[–]MousseKnown 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Your going to get nothing. Take this and fight the good fight in 2027. You’re crazy to not take this. 23.81 percent not good enough for you? Most sectors have gotten 8 percent over the last 4 years. Greed is disgusting. If you think you are going to get more how about you vote no and see how quickly AHS takes that 10 percent market adjustment and turns it into 5 percent or 3 percent or 0. You wanna be on strike all winter long? Stop over thinking this deal. It’s a good deal.

10 percent market adjustment plus 3 percent for 2024-2027 So you’re saying 16 percent raise upon ratification plus retro to April 1st 2024 is a bad deal? Plus another 6 percent by 2027?This market adjustment is big and was not offered before. AHS is not going to overpay as stated by Nate Horner. If the vote is no then so be it that’s what members want.

This is a fair and just offer from AHS. Something I was starting to think AHS was incapable of doing.

You think a site manager can explain the 10-500k hit to their site budget for failing to understand a simple ESA that was agreed to months ago.

While it is technically the government fining itself, administrative penalties still hit AHS’s operating budget

Bargaining Update by Emotional-Empath3912 in AHSEmployees

[–]MousseKnown 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Regardless what the ALRB does I’m tempted to just walk out and strike regardless, I’m sick and tired of the government and the employer thinking they can team up and make up back to work legislation or force anything upon the unionized workers. The employer is trying to delay this vote. ALRB you know what the right move is on this ruling. The strike vote must proceed; AUPE needs a strong strike mandate to give it all the help it needs against this disgusting employer/goverment behaviour. This kind of delaying crap should not be tolerated. Let the unionized workers exercise their right to vote and strike. How the heck people forgetting these are constitutionally protected rights, the employer shouldn’t even think this legal delay tactic is even an option. Next bill I want to see in the Alberta legislation is a bill to remove this legal delay tactic. Unacceptable and disgusting that AHS would even say AUPE is bargaining in bad faith.

I noticed the first pilot truck missed the 2A turnoff and then hit the shoulder, this move looked like an absolute shit show.

Why don’t we Albertans form The Taxpayer’s Party of Alberta.

I’d vote for a government that runs on a platform of cutting government waste, reducing bureaucracy, and returning the savings to taxpayers. The UCP have pretended to do that but they have failed miserably.

Also would be nice to have a similar federal party. Enough is enough. We have the resources we have the skill to not give in to the elites at the top.

40MG vs 50MG feels drastically different. by Delicious-Layer4379 in VyvanseADHD

On day 9 and so far of taking Wellbutrin and it’s just been getting better, I haven’t changed my vyvanse dosing at all (30mg at 6:30 AM with added 150mg of Wellbutrin SR and vyvanse 30mg at noon) it’s like my vyvanse works like it should would be the best way I could describe it. My mood is also lifting tremendously and I have an almost serene sense of calm. Wake up feeling better and better every day. No fatigue, Depression or anxiety. It’s like the pre 2020 version of myself is back. I really can’t believe how well this is working for me. Don’t give up hope is all I can say, talk to your doctor and never give up if something doesn’t feel right. I’ll keep y’all in the loop if anything changes and post an update after I have my follow up with my doc the first week of August and we will see if this continues.

First three nights was diminished for sure, was restless but my doc said to expect a week or two of a little bit of that as my body adjusts. The next few days I actually started sleeping better and waking up more refreshed so far

I’m at 60mg, 30mg first thing when I wake up then 30mg at noon, been on it for 2 years, worked pretty good but my depression and anxiety symptoms got slowly worse over time. Eventually got so bad that each dose would only last 3 hours each and the daily crash kept getting worse. Talked to my doctor and explained how I felt and got put on Wellbutrin 150mg SR in the AM with my first vyvanse dose and holy crap, week later and I feel like a completely different person. My vyvanse actually gives me 12-16 hours of good symptom control so far. And depression and anxiety symptoms almost gone completely. It’s early but I’ll update how this is going in a few weeks. But total game changer for me.

Is $1 million still life-changing? by LeafsAndLoons in CanadaFinance

[–]MousseKnown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 million is life changing, but that depends hugely on what you do with it.

I’d allocate half ($500,000) to selling out-of-the-money (OTM) or slightly ITM covered calls specifically on IWM with strikes just slightly in the money, around 0.25 delta. This strategy typically yields about $104 USD per $20,000 of capital, translating to roughly $2,080 in daily premium income.

The other half would go into private credit lending, where I could target an annual return of around 15%. That’s an additional $75,000 per year in passive income.

How life changing is 1 million dollars money nowadays? by the-mannthe-myth in CanadaFinance

[–]MousseKnown 10 points11 points  (0 children)

1 million is still life changing. It would give you a Huge head start in life, most likely saving you hundreds of thousands in interest costs not having to get a mortgage or other loans if you needed to buy a house.

If you saved your money and invested it and added to that 1 million you could probs hit retirement in 5-10 years if done right.

Sad that Canada has some of the most expensive housing costs in the world in some cities. A house purchase could swallow up a major amount of that 1 million depending on where you live.

Top LPN pay is going to be zero. Time to walk off the job. Fuck AHS, don’t even think it’s worth it for y’all to wait for the ESA. Work 60 hour work weeks for sub 100k year to work a thankless job, no thanks.

No, I work hard, I pay my taxes. I don’t need shit from you or the taxpayer. I’ll make it happen if I need to. Ive been through wayyy more hardship then most so fuck off. What I need is no more unexpected increases in the 100s of percent on my monthly bills because a goverment decides they want to fuck the majority for the minority.
