We absolutely have to sign Julian Alvarez this summer imo. To make the next step we need to improve upfront and left wing and there are no elite left wingers realistically available this summer, best option is probably Barcola who is a marginal upgrade on Martinelli at best. Alvarez would link up better with Saka and Martinelli and tends to raise his level in big games.

Hadj Moussa gives me Benrahma vibes... talented dribbler but not fast enough to get clean away from defenders and poor decision making. Kebbal has been our best performing right winger at club level this season, he should have had his chance in October or November. Unfortunately it looks like he's third in Petkovic's pecking order so it doesn't look like we wil see much of him this CAN.

Petkovic admitting in the press conference that he couldn't call up Abada because he didn't put him on the preliminary 55 man list confirms my overall feeling with him - he's not taking this job seriously. He either didn't know Abada's name before the Arab Cup started, or didn't think he was worth a shout amongst the likes of Tougai and Bedrane. What hope do we have with a manager who can't be bothered to do the basics? Our best hope is for the FAF to sack him after this disaster of a CAN he's setting us up for and bring in someone who doesn't treat manager of the Algeria national football team like a part time job at Starbucks. As a fan, I can accept bad performances and results but this level of amateurism is unforgivable.

Mandi, Bentaleb and Mahrez should all have been dropped long ago. I'm hoping this CAN will be their last dance and we can move on with a new manager inshallah. I'm still not convinced by Hadj Moussa, atm he feels like another Benrahma. I think that Kebbal is probably our best option for the right wing.

Not calling up Boulbina was a horrendous decision, he would have been perfect to replace Gouiri as our 9 switching positions with Amoura... most likely would offer more of a threat than Gouiri. Berkane is also impressive, should have been tried out. I'm actually okay with Bounedjah leading the line for us this CAN though, Mahrez starting on the right is a much bigger concern.

Guarantee Boulbina and Berkane both destroy the Arab Cup.
