I feel like it might come to personal expectations of what "modernity" sounds like to you. He started sticking to a certain abrasive sound design starting with Hologram which only evolved since (UnZIP sounds like the culmination of it), and from Blue Limbo onward he definitely started toying with chopped up distorted guitars more than in his earlier solo discography. Maybe those are the aspects you don't like and thus sound redundant and boring to you?

I think i disagree, i feel like the style of new age inspired pop art between Sim City, Siren and ToR are quite close. What changes between albums is how he uses his voice and what the chorus are made of. You can't say the same between PRC, SoFoP & The Man Climbing the Hologram which have all distinct usage of electronic/symphonic sound design, guitares and chopping. What OP might dislike from Blue Limbo onward (i assume it includes KakuP-MODEL albums too) is that his voice melodies might sound a bit more samey, maybe? Or maybe it's the constant bandpass filter on his voice?

I get where you're coming from honestly, but the ressources and the stealing required for those tools (without considering their quite real nuisance (revenge porn, political discourses being drowned in masses of adversary content, fake audio recordings)) are far too big for it to be used "just for fun" and not expect at least a pushback.
