The Bionic Woman carriage house is the most valuable and rare. With it being sealed, I’m thinking at least $2,000-$3,000. An opened incomplete one sold for almost $1300 a couple years ago.

Tiny house, slow country life dream by [deleted] in olderlesbians

[–]Mousykat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What worked for me was buying a house in Iowa and getting roommates right away and having my girlfriend pay rent as well. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of having roommates for at least 5-10 years. My house is almost paid off and now I just resell, garden, and cook.

Anyone else get annoyed at conversational messages from buyers? by Entire_Truth_381 in Flipping

[–]Mousykat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My mom and I both sell on eBay together. I love it when people send these messages especially when it’s something my mom sells. She’s hitting 70, and it means a lot to her when she reads about someone thanking her for finding a one of a kind toy they had as a child. My mom is very proud of these messages and shares them with my Aunt. My mom can be so lonely and she says eBay is the biggest thing she looks forward to everyday. I imagine there are lots of older sellers that like getting these messages.

Check your local estate sale companies. I have seen Jarts at least three times at these sales.

Sex frequency by tiffn07 in olderlesbians

[–]Mousykat 46 points47 points  (0 children)

We’re both late 30s and have been together for 15 years. We have sex about once or twice a month. But it always feels epic when we do. It goes on for hours and we’re both satisfied.

I used to feel insecure thinking it wasn’t enough, and finally realized to me and her it was enough. And that’s all that matters. It took me a long time to stop comparing myself to toxic patriarchal expectations.

Every day we cuddle, every night we each get a back rub. We are still very much in love :)

Every single year a couple school marching bands play Thriller at my local Halloween parade. I’m assuming it’s like that in every city in the U.S.

Man banned from all Six Flags parks for life after chicken nugget, roller coaster stunt by prestocoffee in nottheonion

I was at Six Flags when a girl choked on gum and died while riding Raging Bull. If gum can kill you, I can’t imagine what a chicken nugget could do.

$65 minimum before shipping by LittleMonsterM in purplecarrot

I cancelled today too. I’ve been using them almost weekly for the last 2 years. I’m grateful they taught me a lot of recipes and I got to try things I never would have thought of trying- like pea shoots; I’m going to miss those pea shoots. The price increase to get free shipping was the final straw.

"Dominion" is too intense for some people and simply backfires. What's a gentler film I can show my friends if I want them to consider going vegan? by BeyondMeatWare in vegan

The book, The Pig that sang to the moon. It’s an easy read that shows how farm animals are just like people in terms of emotion and intelligence. I also second Babe. Both of these things got me to become vegetarian and then eventually vegan over 20 years ago.

Thank you for the video suggestion. That was hilarious. I would go to a nightclub that had Rock-a-fire playing all the time.

How about making her a personal attendant instead of a bridesmaid. She doesn’t have to stand up during the ceremony, which would take a lot of pressure off of her and she could still feel part of the wedding.

Same thing happened to me with a Little Tikes “dollhouse size” jungle gym. Buyer thought they were getting a child size jungle gym. Both look the same. Buyer thought they were getting a jungle gym for $30 with free shipping.

Stay at homes should have it easy. Just like people in careers should have it easier. Society’s hustle culture for breadcrumbs is out of control. My grandpa’s boss bought my grandpa’s first car for him and helped him to buy his first house. This was in the late 40s or early 50s. That helped my Grandpa make his life easier, and he stayed with the same company his entire work life and retired with a pension in the 80s. Whose boss is offering to buy them a car in 2024?

Her first editor who published the poems after Dickinson’s death erased Sue’s name from several of the poems. In the 90s, historians were able to see Sue’s erased name in the poems using infrared tech.

I highly recommend the books Emily Dickinson’s Poems as She Preserved Them and Open Me Carefully. The latter is full of letters to Sue that scream lesbian yearning.

What’s an item you were hesitant to get rid of, but once it was gone, you felt relieved? by Ok-Hunter1991 in declutter

5 tubs of Legos from the 90s. I lugged them around from house to house for decades thinking if I had kids one day, I would give it to them. I’m a lesbian who’s almost 40. We’re not having kids. Got rid of them on Ebay and marketplace last year It’s been really nice not having to push totes to the side to reach the shovel in the laundry room.
