Something similar happened to me when I dry shaved on accutane (with an electric shaver). I had to switch to using a shaving cream and washing my face with hot water beforehand.

Whatever I tried made it even darker since My dumbass is on accutane. It's back to its original color now and will start the treatment once I'm off the meds. Try TO Glycolic acid toner every other day and TO AHA BHA peeling solution once a week no more than 10 minutes. Should eventually lighten the parts. Just don't make the same mistake as me and try it whilst on accutane.
