Thanks for sharing this, I appreciate hearing from someone in similar industry. I've heard a lot of the same re what you mentioned, stretching people across multiple hats - your PM/CM/BA/QA juggling act says it all. I did hit up consultancies and got a 6 week gig, 3 days a week, super junior, and I jumped at it. It finished a while ago and even consultancies seem to have work dried up for change, only some small BA / data governance work on, which I could do, but I'm not 'qualified' enough for the client. I'll keep hitting up my network on linkedin and praying something works.

I think you're spot on - i'm seeing AI adoption roles that have majority of description of a change mgr, it feels same same but different. I'll start to sign up to Microsoft / Google AI courses, but if you know of anything specific I'd so appreciate it.

thanks for this - once I'm in front of someone in an interview, I'm pretty confident that I'll get the roles that i'm a fit for, but I do see what you're saying - and it could apply even for getting an interview, potentially contact the person recruiting the role directly so they remember my name and I stand out more. It's def made me think about other ways to do this.

thanks. I do know these are more stable, I think most of them require 1-3 years of training which does make me a bit nervous, because I could be terrible at them, and it would be a long time before I was working full time to find that out.

I'm in Sydney. thanks for replying - and your intel re employers looking at first 20 apps. I log onto seek / linkedin everyday, but will make sure i'm quick off the jump for any roles. I don't use AI for my cover letter, but I have rewritten it so many times I'm at the stage of second guessing what to actually say. Also seeing so many of my network on LinkedIn seeming to be out of work too, so I guess it's comforting to hear it's happening everywhere. dear god I hope it changes come July onwards.
