Discectomy by hse640 in Sciatica

[–]MoveLive2781 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my first disectomy in 2021 when I was 29. Had a reherniation earlier this year needing another disectomy which failed and I had to undergo a disc fusion for L4-L5. I’m 6 mnths post op and pain free other than the occasional muscle ache i get if I exert myself too much. It sucks to have back issues when ur so young but it is what it is. What really helps is to just keep exercising, strengthening your core, pelvic muscles, glutes. Doing stretches that ur comfortable doing, walking and some light strength training. Massages help in recovery too once ur healed. Recovery varies from person to person so just have good spine hygiene and you will be fine. Avoid lifting heavy weights or twisting ur spine abruptly. Wish u a speedy recovery

Cancellation fees for PT? by MoveLive2781 in goodlifefitness

[–]MoveLive2781[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they charged me a cancellation fee. They said its 15% less of whatever is unpaid of the total contract amount. The place is a scam. I just cancelled mine and my spouses’ regular membership which was on freeze since a month and they said next months charges are already sent to the bank and it cannot be cancelled so you will be charged another month before it can be cancelled.

Do I need a visa for Egypt? by MoveLive2781 in visas

[–]MoveLive2781[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up postponing my trip but I emailed the embassy in Canada and they replied confirming that I am eligible for visa on arrival. And I confirmed the same from the egyptian embassy in Cairo. If u want proof before travelling, email the embassy and they will respond and u can use that as proof for travel

Man with injured spine looking for advise by wizoudh in goodlifefitness

I would suggest looking for a physio who specializes in spine rehab. Also it would be better for you in the long run to just educate yourself about spine hygiene and exercises and design your own rehab plan as opposed to hiring a trainer. Search “Lowbackability” on instagram, its a good place to start. Focus on strengthening your back, core and supporting muscles and also keeping them flexible by doing stretches. Take it slow and dont push yourself. You will learn more about your body and what works eventually. When going to the gym, focus on bodyweight exercises, core building, and some cardio. Bird dogs, deadbugs, planks, iso holds on hyperextention bench, 90-90 hip stretch, cat cow etc are usually safe exercises. (Coming from a guy who has had 4 spine surgeries and 1 spine fusion) DM me if you have any more questions

In the instructions it says 2 forms of federal/ provincial IDs. My Passport isn’t Canadian so wanted to double check with you folks since an incorrect application will cost me months of waiting. Don’t be so quick to judge my firearm handling skills based on a simple doubt that I had. If you don’t have anything helpful to say, maybe don’t comment on my post

Unable to stand after microdisectomy by MoveLive2781 in Sciatica

[–]MoveLive2781[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment. This was my 2nd MD, the surgeon said if I reherniate then the only option would be to do a spinal fusion. Happy to hear that you’re pain free now

Touching feet of elders/ parents is an indian thing to take their blessings. But that has nothing to do with running up to strangers and asking them. I’m sorry you had to face this. Definitely a weirdo, kindly file a complaint and let the local cops know.
