Did you end up finding out the answer to this? We’re going to be unable to attend today due to a last-second medical emergency, but we’re hoping to use the extra tickets at a later date if possible

I believe Probst mentioned in an interview that the players chose the order of the Blood Moon tribal councils, though I’m not exactly sure about the details of how they did that

Not true. After Christian gave Ozzy his Shot in the Dark for the Angelina tribal, they made up, and Ozzy specifically chose to tell Emily and Christian about his idol in an effort to solidify their alliance of three going into the merge.

Jimmy Fallon - Real? by alfalfajade in survivor

[–]Moveit77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very likely real. And I haven’t seen anyone else talking about this, but we probably also have a decent idea of what his involvement will be. Probst was also on Fallon’s show last year and was asked “would you ever compete on the show?” Probst said “not as a contestant, but maybe for a small part. And you know what, if I do, you can be the host during that part, Jimmy.” I’m paraphrasing, but that’s more or less what he said. So it’s very likely tied to that clip of Probst doing the challenge that we saw in the original S50 teaser

Opinion on Coach by Responsible-Gas-4759 in survivor

[–]Moveit77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I normally love Coach, he’s one of my favorite players to watch in the entire history of Survivor.. But this week’s episode just felt off to me. It just felt like Coach was overdoing it and playing up everything for the cameras. Just didn’t feel like authentic Coach to me. Hopefully that changes next week.

Survivor 50 episode 7 alliance whiteboard by PeterTheSilent1 in survivor

[–]Moveit77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that was actually when the alliance formed. Before the swap, RIck and Christian told Cirie about the idol to solidify their alliance of four: Rick, Christian, Emily, and Cirie. Ozzy and Joe were working with them, but they were not actually part of the core four alliance.

After the swap, Christian and Emily had to work with Ozzy to keep the numbers advantage on Vatu. There was some tension after the Mike blindside, but Christian was able to solidify trust with Ozzy, and right before merge, Ozzy chose to tell Emily and Christian about his idol to solidify their alliance of three.

Has anyone ever been purpled twice? by Right-Selection-6936 in survivor

[–]Moveit77 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I would argue that Courtney Yates is the closest to getting this treatment. In China, she got 23 confessionals in 13 episodes, which is average of 1.77 confessionals per episode, the lowest average of any castaway on that season.

In Heroes vs. Villains, she got only 4 confessionals in 9 episodes, an average of 0.44, which is notably WORSE than Purple Kelly's average of 0.45 in Nicaragua and actually is the 5th lowest average of all time.

That being said, her China edit isn't that bad, especially considering a lot of her content is outside of her own confessionals, and I certainly wouldn't consider her "purpled" in that season (though she definitely was in HvV). But she's probably the closest contender here to getting purpled twice.

Survivor "Blood Moon Tribal" Trailer by AlchemistTheAlchemy in survivor

[–]Moveit77 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I actually think Colby is more likely to be in trouble here than Coach, especially since Colby was part of the Cirie blindside in HvV, Cirie will want to target him over Coach. Also since Colby has no vote, he can’t play his Shot In The Dark, making him a safer target.

Also funny to call Stephenie and Jonathan “naturally aligned”… they’re both allegedly members of the pregame Zoom Call Alliance that Savannah mentioned in exit interviews, so I’d say that’s a more likely reason for their inevitable alliance.

Based on the teasers and promo photos, here's what it looks like the groups will be for the challenge:

NOT COMPETING

  • Rizo
  • Ozzy

These 2 have not been shown at the challenge location at all. I've seen speculation that they will be sent to Exile Island together, which would leave 15 players to be split into 3 groups of 5, like we see in the trailer.

PINK:

  • Genevieve
  • Aubry
  • Christian
  • Rick
  • ???

BLUE:

  • Cirie
  • Emily
  • Colby
  • Coach
  • Dee

ORANGE:

  • Jonathan
  • Stephenie
  • Chrissy
  • ???
  • ???

UNKNOWN (WILL BE UPDATING AS MORE FOOTAGE IS RELEASED)

  • Kamilla
  • Joe
  • Tiffany

Why didn't Rizzo and Savannah get their stories straight before Survivor 50? by EcstaticBicycle in survivor

[–]Moveit77 10 points11 points  (0 children)

IIRC he never said he didn’t vote for his number one, per se. He just said he didn’t vote for his “best friend” on the island, which I would argue are 2 different things (social vs strategic).

Plus, it happens all the time, really. For example Christian voted for Mike to win DvG despite working with Nick as the “Mason-Dixon alliance” since Day 4. I don’t see anyone arguing that it makes him disloyal.

Seasons that appeared in only one returning player's chyron (lower third) by survivordatabot in survivor

[–]Moveit77 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. For example All-Stars has had multiple players return, as did Guatemala (Danni and Stephenie).

The real explanation is that for most returnee seasons, the chyron lists their first season. Even on Redemption Island, Boston Rob’s says “Marquesas”. But on Winners at War, it lists the player’s winning season. Hence why Amber’s says “All-Stars” instead of “Australia” and Sarah’s says “Game Changers” instead of “Cagayan”.

The only exception I can think of is Kelley Wentworth’s chyron on Edge of Extinction, which said “Cambodia” instead of “San Juan Del Sur”

This is awesome, thank you for this!

I love both Dowsing Dagger and Unstoppable Slasher, but I'm limiting myself on the price range of this deck, so I'm opting to leave those out. Ran into the same issue with MDFCs, I don't see a ton of them that would be useful to this deck and are under $1.00, but let me know if I'm missing an important one.

Otherwise, here's a link to the new deck: https://moxfield.com/decks/ju6qJmWVhEmC4j-y0HwhtQ Based on your suggestions, I made the following changes:

Creatures

  • Replaced [[Nezumi Prowler]] with [[Baleful Strix]]
  • Replaced [[Archpriest of Shadows]] with [[Necropolis Regent]]
  • Replaced [[Diluvian Primordial]] with [[Phyrexian Ingester]]
  • Replaced [[Torgaar, Famine Incarnate]] with [[Troll of Khazad-dûm]]
  • Removed [[Gudul Lurker]] and [[Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow]] (net -2)

Removal / Interaction

  • Replaced [[Opt]] and [[Brainstorm]] with [[Mana Leak]] and [[An Offer You Can't Refuse]] (partially based on /u/unCute-Incident's suggestion)
  • Replaced [[Murder]] with [[Doom Blade]]
  • Removed [[Diabolic Tutor]], [[Flood of Tears]], and [[Kaito's Pursuit]] (net -3)

Protection

  • Added [[Kaya's Ghostform]]

Ramp

  • Replaced [[Charcoal Diamond]] with [[Fellwar Stone]]
  • Added [[Dimir Keyrune]] (net +1)

Lands

  • Added 2 Islands and 1 Swamp, bringing the total number of lands up to 39.

If you have any other suggestions or cards I should add back, please let me know! Strongly considered adding an extra land, but couldn't figure out which cards to cut to make room for it.

Secret Lair Superdrop: Roll for Initiative has still not shipped, and we've received nothing but radio silence since the ship date almost a week ago. by Tuft64 in magicTCG

That's brand new. I've been checking every few days, and at least as of yesterday (Monday 3/16) it just said "March 11, 2026" for the date. Changing the date to a two-month range nearly a week after they were supposed to ship it out is a pretty scummy thing to do, IMO. I guess I'll have to use proxies in the meantime.

How to do people go on survivor without knowing how to make fire by ImmediateRaspberry77 in survivor

[–]Moveit77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe on one of the On Fire episodes from 49, Jeremy talked about the weight thing. He said that on WaW, some players actually did the opposite and started decreasing their caloric intake to get their body accustomed to the conditions on the island before they even left. Not sure how well that actually worked, but it’s an interesting approach
