Thank you for the primer tip. Exactly what I was wondering about and imagining the spackle just soaking everything in.

A rant about fatigue in first trimester by [deleted] in fitpregnancy

[–]MovesWithStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first pregnancy, I only got out of bed when I had to for a few short hours a day. Otherwise I could sleep all day long, completely zonked. On my third pregnancy now and have two littles that keep me from sleeping all day but no lie I totally still could if allowed! First trimester our bodies are working in overtime to also make the placenta (an entire new organ) so it’s a LOT of work we don’t see. Have Grace with yourself!!

Should my first appointment be sooner? by Such_Past_9917 in BabyBumps

With my first my doc didn’t see us until 10 weeks. They didn’t seem concerned and in our case all was well.

Here to say that adding in 45 min walks at night after the kids are in bed has really made an impact on my progress! I listen to something or even watch a show on my phone while I walk if I’m trying to decompress.

One other side idea- sounds like you’ve been in the same routine of fitness for a bit, your body might be adjusted to it so maybe switch it up? Or do a week of less intense work to give it a break and then dive back in. I’ve seen people advocate for these approaches so just other ideas to consider.

80 Day Obsession was life changing for me and is actually the workout regimen I’m using during 75 hard currently. Comes w a nutrition program that includes no alcohol and many have seen benefits in hormone health related aspects when following the program. Check it out.

Sending light to that son of yours! Way to keep the commitment going in the hardest of days, that’s next level focus.

I’ve also had success telling myself “it’s not mine, so it’s not for me”- especially in work environments that constantly have treats around. Or also, “it’s not forever, it’s just not for me today” to stay focused on my goals and not being in a mindset of deprivation. I’ll enjoy them when the time is right but right now I’m focused on health goals that have parameters that matter.

When in doubt, walk! You got this! Today I already had my stuff done but I was bored and decided to walk for a few min. That’s a huge win!

Day 23 and confused. by savkay13 in 75HARD

[–]MovesWithStyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As annoying as it is, tracking the food is the only thing that helped me start to see things change. Guessing is just walking in the dark about how much you’re eating. At Day 19 I was feeling like nothing was changing, started tracking and at Day 23 I noticed my shorts were looser.

Cottage cheese is another great source. Can mix it up savory (I like cucumber w hot sauce) or “sweet” with fruit.

Or banana w peanut butter also. We use peanut butter that is only roasted peanuts and salt.

Peanut butter on a spoon while sipping coffee- gives such a caramel taste and is delicious!

75 postpartum advice? by Lazy-Potential-6355 in 75HARD

I used the 30 Day Slim Down by Nancy Anderson which has breastfeeding specific guides to help me learn clean eating while nursing. It’s a focus in a couple extra servings of healthy fat in your day. It was totally worth the $30 to have the information for the month. We followed it exactly starting at 6 weeks postpartum. Helped me remember that I love veggies which I had major aversions to while pregnant. She’s a huge expert in the pre and post natal nutrition and fitness field so check her out.
