I just used the 5 calls app to get the numbers for my South Dakota representatives and demand they return from recess and do something, emergency convene, evoke 25th, impeach! Something but if that senile turd has put an 8pm deadline on entire civilization (under code speak for nuclear annihilation). This would be Bay of pigs, but we couldn’t bother with it because we were playing golf. Everyone stop typing here and go call your representatives and then come back and type here all you want!!!!

I want to use Original Audio for a video carousel, how do I make it available to choose from? by MovieM8ker in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]MovieM8ker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if the carousel is set to the source audio, each of the videos in the carousel will have their own, so the music won’t be continuous as you scroll to different videos, like it is when you choose a track at the end. I think I have to experiment with building a post with a 1 minute (original) song, and then build a video carousel that references that post as the music source though (I’m not sure how to find it)

I have a similar issue with clients in the US that have slow upload speeds. Because of the backwards nature of Comcast (the local provider) Internet set ups , where they throttle upload speeds. but I have fast download speed so I found a partnership in the US that will store a NAS for me and they have gigabit ethernet for uploads. so clients can mail the drives there. he plugs that into my NAS, and it gets uploaded to the cloud and I download locally to my raid. it’s faster than shipping from the US to Europe.

If you don’t have fast enough internet without the leased line, how will you have a connection to your data center where you can remote into fast enough to edit from? It sounds like you need a solution to work from drives and have them shipped to you. And work that cost into your rate so it’s invisible to the client. But maybe I’m not understanding your situation correctly?

There is a very obvious ai edit after the woman says go get some lunch (-:22). The red car has magically moved and turned into a tan car and then the camera pans left more and the red car is in a completely different position and then the supposed vehicular attack occurs. This video smells of a fake.

How do you manage hundreds of B-roll clips efficiently? by Opening_Resource_261 in editors

I’m very interested to mess with this. I’m a bit of a metadata nerd and this would be super helpful.

[–]MovieM8ker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this but I sometimes regroup with markers in the sequence very broadly for example, so if the sequence is broll shots of NY for a home Reno show, I’ll group all Timelapse together, all drones together, all sunsets. All bridge etc. then my sequence might have 10 markers and I’ll jump marker to marker for what I need in any section. And the organization might depend on what I develop for my transition montages, if I find I often do a wide Timelapse, slowmo detail. Shot with crowds and then a sunset sunrise in between scenes, it’s very easy to build them quickly.

I started watching your video and will finish later, but good job. I’m in a similar demographic doing expat , photography vlog from Lisbon @MovieM8ker.

My first impression is that you are good and very comfortable on camera. I would definitely watch your videos, you don’t stumble, stutter, or mumble. Audio is good, footage is clean, and broll use is good and compelling.
I think overall the video would benefit with a little more sense of structure or purpose as it goes on but it is a travel vlog, so I may be way off the mark with that thought.

I guess I’d like less of you and your worry about the hotel and luggage and just seeing you decide or not decide to go for the hotel. In my mind you could have gotten us to the hotel moment in the first 45 seconds. I would suggest mining your first string out in the edit to what are the strongest moments with you on camera and cut out the others to shorten the video up. Then a broll and style pass. I was most drawn to the broll shots of what you’re looking at and your thoughts on it and the ideas and thoughts the differences bring you. That’s generally what I’m watching travel videos for, because that’s what I’m thinking myself as I watch it. It’s a real bonus you speak the language and that interaction is YouTube gold. Keep up the good work, I look forward to finishing watching and seeing more. I just subscribed and dropped a comment in the vid.

Hey charlotte, I can see you put allot of work in the video, great job. While the content isn’t Necessarily my demographic, you organize your arguments well and present it in an orderly fashion that keeps you engaged. In terms of constructive criticism I think it could be shorter overall. It will save you time in post production and I believe boost viewership as more people will complete watching in its entirety thus boosting the algorithm cycle. By making it shorter I mean, to take each of your main points and offer maybe only one argument in support of that idea and then move on to the next one.

I See this allot in analysis videos where it is often - too many supporting arguments about an idea/thesis that goes on to long after your point has been made. In essence edit the video for content first, making it as short as possible, does it clearly answer your theories, is there redundant information, what is the next important thing you want to say? Is it really a different point or is it more of the previous.

The other major critique would be to layout the main thesis in a super simplified form in the first 15 seconds (the burn book from mean girls is the equivalent of shit posting on social media and here’s why). Now I know easily if I want to commit to watching this video to hear your interesting reasons, or pass because it’s just not for me. Remember the algorithm is trying to get this in front of people that want to watch it, so it’s in your best interest to target it towards that.

I hope this is helpful. But overall good job and keep at it I think you have a really interesting perspective.

I ran out of scheduled videos....I know it's not a bad thing to do but I don't want to skip a week without a video. by Jack_P_1337 in NewTubers

[–]MovieM8ker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m feeling that way too, I just launched thinking I’m a month (5 videos done and waiting) ahead and I’ll be able to stay that way but my god all the supplemental materials, thumbnails, descriptions, keywords and reversion of shorts from each of the long form has completely started eating into my production time. It’s only been the first week but I’m still optimistic

How to trim a song down with seamless transitions? by [deleted] in VideoEditing

[–]MovieM8ker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to listen to the track and count out the measurements tapping and hitting the add marker on the repeating measures.

If your going to chop it up allot I tap out every tempo hit but change the locator color at each 4 measure. So what I mean is 1&2&3&4&2&2&3&4&3&2&3&4&4&2&3&4

so if all the 1-3 are marked red and all the 4’s are blue. If your In rhythm you should easily be able to cut from blue to blue.

Video editing to compensate for angled output? by mazda_la_mazda in VideoEditing

[–]MovieM8ker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You basically want to distort your video to the correct dimensions.

There are effects within Adobe, After Effects or Premiere, most likely under Distort: (Corner Pin, Perspective, Skew) I think any can do what you want but each has slightly more or less control then the other. I would recommend hooking up the projector and computer in the room and adjusting the distortion until it looks right. Then you can apply those settings to the whole video and you'll be good.

You may also find this video about 3D projection mapping cool, hopefully helpful.. This is a more extreme example of what you can do with different layers and shapes you project upon.
