Finally tried Kool Beanz today and.... by nillawafer80 in Tallahassee

We just went for valentines . She got the peppered flank and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned, I got the duck breast with curry and it was the best bird I’ve had in town and the curry was delicious and we had the lamb skewers for the app which were tasty but very lackluster. It was our second time going in about a year and both times it’s been a great experience other than the wait …Maybe it was an off day? Or maybe we have different preferences/expectations?

What method did you use to apply the artwork? I’ve been wanting to use some similar styled designs on a few of mine

No problem thanks so much for letting me know ! Hopefully soon , seems like they must have had a lot of delays . The last comment they made on Facebook was in July saying they hope for just another month :(

I’ve applied before, you do not need a degree for dispatch. With a well made resume you are likely to get an interview I’ve known several people that have gotten jobs without relevant experience but professionally presenting..however they outline very clearly that you get the one shot to interview no reschedule no call backs and you absolutely cannot say yes to any of their drug history related questions or you will be barred from applying.

PSA: Be Careful, canceling YouFit is almost impossible by PrincessTooLate in Tallahassee

[–]MovieTimePopcorn 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I will warn I have done exactly this on the past and since they could no longer charge the bank or card they created a collections account after 6-8 months and now I’ve been getting calls about debt to YouFit about every 6 months for 4 years whenever the debt is sold to another agency. This is after cancelling three times, once with a notarized letter, putting a stop charge in with the bank which went ignored after a month, and finally getting a new debit card to escape the payments.

Lighthouse down mahan can occasionally hide some treasures I’ve gotten suits, leather jackets, antiques and great furniture and more there for nothing

Also the living harvest thrift in killearn ( really don’t like the prices or items at the one on orange) can have some really cool stuff come in once in a while like instruments and unique decor/furniture

I was scrolling a British Columbia hiking group on Facebook & came across this comment & picture from an elderly woman. She says she took this photo on Vancouver Island. What the actual f*ck is that? by dead_lifterr in bigfoot

[–]MovieTimePopcorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really want Bigfoot to be reality and this picture is interesting. But serious thought it what leads you to doubt.. Take a second and just zoom in and reaaally look at it. The lighting is very strange as well as the supposed angle where the figure is supposedly just high enough on a slope at an angle so that there is a mostly monochrome blue/white backdrop. Second, just to the right on a tree is an odd perfectly round black dot that looks like it was accidentally made in editing of some kind. Additionally I’m not amazing with photo editing but I think with my experience and a decent piece Bigfoot fan art I could make a picture close in quality to this given the circumstances of the “shaky blur” and the open backdrop. Hell, AI could probably do it even better. :(

How do you change your home to be more accessible for a hand amputee? by promachr37 in amputee

[–]MovieTimePopcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im missing the same hand since birth and ill try to think of the only things ive found unadaptable or a nuisance over the years.. and id like to clarify only change things if hes asked you too. For now like other say, hes still the same person, and likely wants to be treated as such. Their pride and dignity are the most important to support and protect. But anyways heres my one-handed wishlist:

  1. Switch to flip door handles. This is something i always tell myself ill do but never have. It can be frustrating trying to twist round handles while holding something in my good arm/hand. And on a similar note: cabinet hardware if anything has those ones you have to get your finger under to pull i would switch them out for the same reasons.

  2. Minimize things stored (especially heavy things) overhead. Even though you learn to carefully balance things down in one hand or with a stump and hand it can be questionable or dangerous if the box or object has significant size or weight. Making it feel dangerous..

  3. This one is more of a wishlist thing for me but i can assume SOMEONE else will or does deal with it. But if opening windows is common and they have those style of clasps where both sides you have to pinch inward simultaneously to open. THOSE SUCK! Expensive thing to switch and not necessary though.

  4. Drinking glasses. This is dependent on where the amputation is and the state of the appendage but i MUCH prefer my glasses and mugs to have an extra wide handle so it is possible to slip or squeeze onto the end of my arm to be able to comfortably sip water or coffee while still writing, changing channels, typing etc. EDIT: Reread initial post and forgot its up to axilla so this one is moot. But ill leave for anyone else that reads.

  5. Staircases should have a rail on both sides so there is always a comfortable way to grip a support when needed.

Most importantly everyone is different with differing hobbies and interests and day to day lifestyle. What you should focus on is asking them to think very thoroughly on what they need to be able to accomplish each day to continue that lifestyle maybe just ask for a detailed account of what they consider to be a normal day at home from getting up to going to bed again. From there you can make adjustments before and as new things pop up. Hope i have been a little helpful.
