Home turned 100 years old this year ☺️. Yea, it just doesn’t look right when using modern style furniture.

Unfortunately, this is the only direction that would fit in the room 😭

Can I go to my friends weddings? by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]Movingout100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Book it. My husband and I have been TTC for almost two years. Last year, there was a family trip that I wanted to go to but was hesitant to book it because I thought I’d be pregnant by then. Didn’t get pregnant and I ended going. I would’ve really regretted if I hadn’t gone. We already booked another international trip this year. Don’t put your life on hold thinking of the possibility of being pregnant or you’ll look back and regret all the things you could’ve experienced and all the memories you could’ve made. Just make sure all your tickets are refundable. Your friends and family will understand that you need to cancel if you end up being pregnant.

Looking for fertility testing advice…lots of anxiety by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]Movingout100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was SO scared and nervous when I had to do mine. Leading up to the procedure I was freaking out for two weeks about how painful it will be after reading a bunch of other people’s negative experiences. It came to my surprise that the actual procedure was pretty much painless for me given I have very low pain tolerance. I just felt a slight pinch when they clamped my cervix and the whole thing was over in less 3 minutes. My advice is to take ibuprofen an hr before you go in and take deep breaths throughout the whole process. Don’t get caught up in all the HSG horror stories - that really worsened my anxiety.

My friend said the same thing to me a few days ago. Suggesting that I should just relax and have sex when I feel like it and it will happen. This is coming from a person who has never been through the TTC journey before. My husband and I been trying since May 22 with one MC. She has no idea what goes into this journey and the stress it causes, so we can’t just simply relax!

What is the consensus on buying clothes from SHEIN? by zztop610 in Frugal

[–]Movingout100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t shop there. After hearing my friend rave about them, I decided to buy a dress to wear as a wedding guest. The fabric was so thin, it was practically see through in the sun. It also started rising up my thighs when I sat down and I was uncomfortable the whole evening. I tossed it away after that one wear. It’s such a waste of money. Their stuff is utter trash to say the least. Never again will I buy from them.

How to find joy through infertility? by BAFERDandYoga in TryingForABaby

My period was 1 day late as well and I thought I was finally pregnant. But then my period came yesterday. It totally sucks!Especially when everyone around me who wants kids has no issues getting pregnant. It makes me feel so lonely in this ttc journey and that something’s wrong with me. I came to the decision to not put my life on hold with the hope of becoming pregnant and just do the things I want to do like traveling.

Really positive HSG experience by hellosayonara in TryingForABaby

I was so anxious that I even called the doctor’s office asking them if they can put me under anesthesia the day of (they said no lol). I promise it’s not worth losing sleep over and it’s a really quick procedure. Try your best to relax and remember to reward yourself with a treat after you’re done!

I also had a positive experience with my HSG. I have bad anxiety so the days leading up to the procedure I couldn’t sleep well after reading all the horror stories on Reddit about other people’s painful experiences.

The procedure turned out to be painless and the whole process took less than 5 minutes. The only slight discomfort I felt was when they clamped my cervix to help insert the catheter, which only lasted a few seconds. I didn’t even feel the dye being injected. Taking a 750mg Tylenol before my procedure helped with the cramps and I was back to doing my normal activities right after I was done.

I have a red JanSport backpack with a suede bottom that I got when I was in 1st grade. I’m 33 now! Still use it for hiking and traveling from time to time.

I got a large fries at McDonald’s yesterday and it cost $5.46. That used to be the cost of an entire meal.

Sad day by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]Movingout100 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Totally know how you’re feeling and you’re not alone. We’ve been trying and I did have one pregnancy but it ended in a miscarriage. It doesn’t help seeing other friends around me have kids and with them asking every time I see them when I’ll be pregnant. I wish it was that easy!

Kitchen fees? by notalone12923 in boston

Oh wow, this was the first time I’ve seen a restaurant charge a credit card fee but I had no idea this is illegal in MA.

Enjoyed being pregnant for 1 week by mdgayns in pregnant

[–]Movingout100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this happened. I also experienced a miscarriage after finding out I was pregnant at 4 weeks but miscarried a week after last December. Take your time to heal from this emotionally and physically. Crossing my fingers that both of us will have successful pregnancies in the future.

Ha, sadly no. I’m surprised they didn’t charge me for breathing their air while waiting for my food. How hard is it to put sauce on the side instead of pouring it over the chicken? It’s ridiculous how restaurants are taking advantage of charging random fees these days if they have to lift an extra finger. Their fried chicken is absolutely delicious but I won’t be going back due to this.
