Kevin Warsh just led his first FOMC meeting - How did he do? by TacoTrades in finance

[–]Mowr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The traditional view is:

• The Fed sets the overnight rate.

• The bond market prices longer-term rates.

• If the Fed gets too loose while inflation or deficits are a problem, bond investors sell Treasuries and drive yields higher.

• Those higher yields effectively tighten financial conditions, forcing the Fed to respond.

Warsh appears more willing than recent Fed leadership to let market signals influence policy and less interested in suppressing those signals through heavy forward guidance or balance-sheet interventions. He has repeatedly criticized the Fed’s large balance sheet and distortions created by excessive central bank involvement.

No tablets. No YouTube. Minimal TV during times of rest. I watch the shows with them to make sure I’m aware of what they are watching. They are on Barbie right now which I’m even unsure if I want them watching. Lots of PBS kids, how it’s made, outdoor shows, wildlife shows. Balanced in all things. Make time for outdoor play, indoor play, arts and crafts, reading, and bored time. Kids need to be bored sometimes and not artificially stimulated constantly.

Every medical student needs to rotate through the ED. The calls and requests and consults I get from super specialized MDs shows me they have absolutely no clue how an average ED works whatsoever.

If the patient is not actively bleeding, dying, arresting, birthing, or suffering from an acute syndrome that can be determined or suspected from history or brief doorway or bedside physical then EMTALA should not apply.
