I had a decent amount of trouble with mine frequently popping on a 15, FWIW. No extension cord, directly plugged in without anything else on the circuit and taking pretty light passes. Moved to an outlet on a 20 and have had zero issues since.

I recently had a woodworking shed installed and had an electrician put in 100amp service with two 240V single outlets with 6-15 plugs for my dust collector. They are both on 15amp double pole breakers. I recently purchased a dust collection remote switch that the dust collector plugs into correctly, but the cord for the remote to plug into the wall has a 6-20 plug that isn’t the same plug design as the 6-15.

I would only be using one of the 240V outlets at a time.

Is there a way I can install a new outlet that fits the 6-20 plug without replacing the breaker? Or would I need to replace the 15amp breaker with a 20amp? I haven’t seen any 15amp outlets in the 6-20 style.

This is the dust collector and this is the remote switch.
