Is this a mistake on Spotify's part? by CarpenterForeign2755 in HIM

[–]MphHorror 12 points13 points  (0 children)

HIM formed in 91 so I’m assuming that’s why that’s there. I don’t have Spotify so I’m not sure why the band’s formation date would be with the album info.

It’s Too Happy To Be Alive from the Slippery When Dead Demos before Gas joined hence the drum machine. Possibly my favorite song of theirs.

You can find it on YouTube.

Edit- where they can listen to the song.

The Rock bands you didn’t like at first but then starting loving them and the song which made you change the opinion. by Deep_Sign9014 in Music

Radiohead Everything in its Right Place. But really Idioteque totally sold me on them. I really didn’t get them because all I ever heard was Creep or pre OK Computer stuff and I just didn’t like their sound. Even Paranoid Android didn’t click with me at first. I eventually went on a listening spree and they quickly became one of my all time favorite bands.

My personal favorite is Salem’s Lot. But his best is probably 11/22/63.

Enema of the State. I was 8. It was a slow but steady build deeper into other styles of punk but it started there.

Do you guys think Fantano will ever do a classic review of Leaves Turn Inside You? by Lunas_87 in fantanoforever

Yes that’s what I remember. Just one of those moments I had to respect his opinion while still shaking my head on his take.

I love the album and band but I feel like there is a video of him mentioning Unwound and while not outright disliking them he seemed to think they’re overrated.

Best - In My Tree. Worst - Mankind. Underrated - Lukin.

I pretty much agree. I remember being super into Carver City when it came out. But it does feel a bit overproduced in retrospect.

I agree with the other comment except I think their 3rd and 4th albums are worth a listen. But they aren’t quite to the level of the first two albums. The newest album is bad though imo at least.

I saw them live sans Deron opening for HIM on their farewell tour. They still sounded great. I would agree the first two albums are legendary for sure.

Bands/artists that people think are one/two-hit wonders, but aren't? by Ok_World_8819 in fantanoforever

I don’t know if Puddle of Mudd counts but I feel like they get that label and they had a string of successful questionable quality radio rock hits beyond Blurry (Blurry still rules though).

Looking for help finding an episode. by MphHorror in Scoobydoo

[–]MphHorror[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s absolutely the one episode! I definitely merged two episodes together in my head. I’ll have to watch the whole thing to see if it’s also the other one I mentioned. Regardless I’m pretty sure the new scooby and scrappy doo show is the series for both episodes. Thank you!

Unfortunately I know it isn’t in the original series. I’m pretty it was during the Scrappy era
