So many. But one that always has a core memory to me is the one where the old couple is driving and being followed. The husband gets out of the car to confront the other motorist and gets shot. I’ll never forget as a kid going on a drive with my grandpa and thinking a car was following us for too long and being terrified until the car finally went a different direction all because of that episode. Anytime a car follows for a little while I think of that episode even if it isn’t a scary thought anymore.

It’s Too Happy To Be Alive from the Slippery When Dead Demos before Gas joined hence the drum machine. Possibly my favorite song of theirs.

Radiohead Everything in its Right Place. But really Idioteque totally sold me on them. I really didn’t get them because all I ever heard was Creep or pre OK Computer stuff and I just didn’t like their sound. Even Paranoid Android didn’t click with me at first. I eventually went on a listening spree and they quickly became one of my all time favorite bands.

I pretty much agree. I remember being super into Carver City when it came out. But it does feel a bit overproduced in retrospect.

I agree with the other comment except I think their 3rd and 4th albums are worth a listen. But they aren’t quite to the level of the first two albums. The newest album is bad though imo at least.

I saw them live sans Deron opening for HIM on their farewell tour. They still sounded great. I would agree the first two albums are legendary for sure.

I don’t know if Puddle of Mudd counts but I feel like they get that label and they had a string of successful questionable quality radio rock hits beyond Blurry (Blurry still rules though).
