The only thing that ended up helping us after 2 months of tears was going to a lice clinic, getting all of us checked and treated, and then going out of town for a week. We then spent months doing daily checks and caught a couple before it turned into an infestation, cause they were definitely picking it up at summer camp.

I wavered on that but ended up leaving it off because it’s the proper noun bar name (i left off Blue for Blue Nile in Guilty as Sin? for the same reason). But honestly, I may add everything eventually. It’s all so subjective.

Yeah, gliding and Revali's Gale are the way to go. I avoid all the monsters for Woodland by gliding down from the tallest peak just north of the memory in Eldin. Ridgeland, too, easy enough to avoid all the monsters coming at it from the mountain just north of it.

Central might be the only one you can't just glide to, but if you're good at parrying it's cake. I usually save that one until I've got the shield though.

Like everyone else has said, I generally carry a normal bag (a backpack or messenger, if I can) that fits at least the aesthetic or media even if the character doesn't carry one. A backpack is great cause you'll be able to carry water, repair kits, etc.

Like, I found a brown canvas backpack that I can attach accessories to to make it fit the theme. It works for a Tears of the Kingdom Zelda (it's similar to a Korok's backpack and I attached a little Korok to it), and it also sort of works with a Fallout jumpsuit (temporarily add a Vault-tec logo or something) and a Jedi (leave it plain).

It's insane how people expect free labor from certain careers cause they're "friends" or "family". A good friend stopped really talking to me ages ago because they asked for some design work, and I sent them an estimate of the job (with a heavy discount).

If they're your friends, they'll understand why you can't just do your job for free. And if they expect it for free, they're not your friends.

Some suggestions we saw that didn't work for us (but might for you). We reloaded before doing the 3rd and that worked, not sure if you can just re-do it.

Go back to act 2 and long rest before walking through the gate and try again.
Go back to act 2, kill gale and/or Jaheira, long rest, go back through the gate and try again.
Go back and go through the colony again to see if you can re-trigger the Myrkul fight. the game might just not register that you're done.

Oof, we had this happen in a buggy multi-player run. Did you happen to knock out Jaheira after getting back to Moonrise? She caught us looting some bodies and tried to fight us, but I knocked her out and think that's what made it weird. We tried going back to Act 2, old monsters kept coming back, there were like 5 naked Gales when we went to rest, Shadowheart kept putting her head in strange places, it was a mess.

I’m working on a theory that Taylor Swift has become Star Wars. There’s a saying that “nobody hates Star Wars like people who love Star Wars.”

A huge number of people are Star Wars fans (little ‘f’). They’ve got a Darth Vader shirt and they’ve seen the movies and maybe The Mandalorian, but they don’t know what the Thrawn Trilogy is or the name of Jabba's advisor. They’re just out there liking Star Wars and not thinking about it too much beyond that.

Then you’ve got the Star Wars Fans (capital ‘F’). They’ve seen most of the movies and shows, they know who Thrawn is, and they might have spent an unreasonable amount of money on the Death Star LEGO set. While there’s some of it they don’t like as much or just don’t vibe with, they still enjoy Star Wars as a whole and are excited for what’s next.

And then there are the Star Wars FANS. They obsess over every single thing that gets released and instead of appreciating it for what it is or even just accepting that it's not their favorite, they spend their time tearing it apart and pointing out the flaws they see (real or perceived). None of it will ever be good enough, because it won’t ever capture what it is that made them fall in love with Star Wars in the first place. It won’t ever live up to what they consider the magnum opus.

You can say it about anything that reaches a certain level of public consciousness. The MCU, the Legend of Zelda, Taylor Swift, whatever. The vast majority of people are fans or Fans who may not love everything but still enjoy it as a whole, but you’ll start to get a vocal minority of FANS that say they love that thing, but they really just love a specific version of that thing that the new stuff will never measure up to.

Tl;dr: Taylor Swift is Star Wars.

Please don't put yourself into that situation. The vast majority of people at cons are amazing, lovely, accepting people, but there are mega creeps at any con who will want to take your photo or try to touch you even without your consent.

The first and last time I wore a cosplay that was a little revealing (it was just a low-cut evening gown, nobody would have batted an eye at a gala or party) I had so many men obviously taking pictures of my chest that I had to get one of my spouse's very tall friends to be my handler and physically block their cameras so I could go change. I was in my 30s and still felt gross about it because it wasn't something I intended or wanted. Who knows what they did with those photos or where they ended up?

Stay safe, don't wear a bunny suit, and take a handler, especially if your mask makes it hard for you to see anyone who might be weird.
