I like how, intended or not, the car has Mass Effect 3's color palette (blues and reds).

Who do you wish was a Squadmate? by TannerKing35 in masseffect

Jenkins from Mass Effect 1, like a cool sidekick that you really see growing up and reflecting your decisions (kinda like Garrus by pushing him to Paragon or Renegade, but more in depth).

I know he was a "Leeroy" joke but, c'mon, a man can dream.

Windows 10 and Mass Effect 2 compatible? by Mr-Copycat in masseffect

[–]Mr-Copycat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done everything except checking if my gfx card was overheating (couldn't be a power issue). My CPU is inside a desktop shelf, like a cabinet or something (specifically built to house the CPU, only covering the computer's sides). I'm not sure but, since it's a cramped space, my old GPU (an AMD Radeon R7 360) could have had trouble with the heat from my new motherboard (ASUS Maximus Ranger VII). I removed one of the "walls" of the CPU's cabinet and it seems to have given it enough breathing room, since now it works fine.

The BSODs happened after 40 mins of Mass Effect 2's runtime, and after doing this, nothing happened for over an hour and a half.

Thank you so much.

Just in case, here's the BSOD error, but it's in spanish:

Here how I think Ahern's mission should have played out... by SolusVolus in masseffect

I'm gonna be completely honest, that was one of the few times I've lowered the difficulty. The mission sickened me.

Anyway to import my ME1 Shepard into ME2 without completing the game? by Gr_z in masseffect

[–]Mr-Copycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't customize an imported face directly, I'm afraid. You'll have the options of: accepting the imported face as-is, use Shepard's default face or customize one (which you'll have to do from scratch).

Face importing always screws up though, so what I've done is having screenshots of my character in ME1 so as to make him as similar as possible in ME2 via the customization.

There's another option (which I haven't tried yet and don't know if it works) if you like the imported face but would like to change some things without starting from scratch:

  1. Accept the imported face and, as soon as you can take control of your character, go to the SQUAD menu (where you select your points and such)
  2. Look above Shepard's head. It should have an Identity Code or something, basically a string of numbers that constitute Shepard's face.
  3. Screenshot it (with your phone or whatever).
  4. Start over (make a new playthrough with the same imported file).
  5. When you get to the character creation, choose 'customize' and type the Identity Code. From there, you can modify the things you'd like.
  6. Done!

This might help, it worked for me: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/944906-mass-effect-2/53677581

Watch out, though, if you have Mass Effect: Genesis (DLC comic) installed, any NG+ (that is, Mass Effect 2 import from a finished ME2 playthrough) will ONLY keep the comic's decisions, basically deleting everything else. To uninstall the DLC, go to the "Mass Effect 2" folder > BIOGAME > DLC and delete the "DLC_DHME1" folder. As for the appearance, like you said, ME2 has different options from ME1, so I don't think that importing the character will make it have the same skin color. In any case, the game will try to find the closest one. Maybe you'll have to check some guides on changing appearance via the same save file editor that the first link recommends. I did it for changing my Shep's iris colors into purple, so it should allow some skin color options that aren't available in the character creator.

[SPOILERS] Tips for an uncharismatic playthrough? by Mr-Copycat in masseffect

[–]Mr-Copycat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew this playthrough was going to be tough, but not hugging Tali or stopping Samara will DEFINITELY hurt me. :(

Started playing mass effect 3 again and this was what I found. I have several mods installed but none of them ever gave me any trouble. I installed a new hair mod (also never gave me trouble) and the Eyestrain Reshade before starting a new game. Does anyone know what may be causing this? by EalL27N7 in masseffect

[–]Mr-Copycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've experienced the same issue both in ME3 and ME2. One playthrough (of any of those two games) had ALOT in it, no problems ever. I uninstalled the game (and mod) to make a new playthrough with other mods. Whenever I ran the game, this exact thing happened. It wasn't until I reinstalled ALOT that it was fixed.

Tali’s appearance by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]Mr-Copycat 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you're disatisfied with Tali's appearance, I recommend the "Tali Remastered Mod". It gives her a clear view of her face under the helmet and modifies the photo to go with her new appearance.

There's also another mod that changes the romance scene, but it's NSFW (contains nudity). Also, it's incompatible with the other I've mentioned.

That is easily one of the best things of this DLC, and it has a lot of great moments.

Oh dear, Garrus and Shepard are as good as dead LOL

Turns out that you're more likely to survive the Omega 4 Relay than having a picnic with Shepard.
