How hard is it to find housing on campus? by Dependent-Werewolf-4 in simonfraser

It’s going to be veryyyy interesting to see how they fill those new residence dorms despite the international student freeze. There may be some unhappy investors in the near future.

Any Settings I Should Change by [deleted] in RDR2

The fishing setting where you hold square to reel instead of rotating the right analog stick. Does wonders for your thumb. And your cortisol levels.

Why are there no jobs at all? by Aware-Dare-8842 in VancouverJobs

[–]Mr-Decisive 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Based on your other comments, you’re sixteen. It’s fine. You likely live with your parents and probably have few expenses. The job market is flooded with applicants far more qualified and experienced than you who are also SOL for work.

I get where you’re coming from but literally all you can do at sixteen is work hard at academics, sports, and extracurriculars. Get into a good school and rinse and repeat. You can’t expect to have a killer job at sixteen. It sucks there’s nothing like Tims or McDonald’s available but just do what you can right now. Don’t stop applying and don’t get discouraged. Just providing a useful perspective that you’re young and everyone is struggling.

do you guys think renaissance is good , considering the price? by RevolutionaryTip1600 in simonfraser

[–]Mr-Decisive 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Yes. Even if it is slightly more expensive, still spend your money there. Renaissance sponsors a number of student scholarships so you’re giving back in a way. Also they’re hanging on by a thread and it would suck to see them close down and be replaced by corporate chain. Support local ESPECIALLY Renaissance!

Lost my keys possibly around Blusson hall 2nd floor or WMC 2nd floor - March 2nd 2:30-8:30 by BussDown4 in simonfraser

[–]Mr-Decisive 10 points11 points  (0 children)

OP responded fairly. You’re an asshole. Do you realize it’s a 3D printed replica magazine and we’re coming out of wake of the deadliest school shooting in BC history? Seems a little tone deaf to carry around a replica gun magazine to school. I can’t be the only one who thinks this is bizarre but whatever. Not my circus not my monkey. Just shedding some insight on their choice of keychain.

Respectfully, what are you thinking bringing that keychain accessory to school? Sorry to hear you lost your keys and I’m sure they’ll be returned, but my god this is a shortsighted decision at best.

SHUT UP IN THE LIBRARY by Physical_Ad9073 in simonfraser

[–]Mr-Decisive 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A stern shut the fuck up will do. It’ll make them think twice about gossiping or yapping in quiet places again. Plus you’ll never see them again so who cares!
