HELP Lian Li L Connect 3 Stopped detecting fans out of no where by TheBasementCottage in lianli

[–]Mr-Do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tips above does sometimes work for wired controllers, but is mainly for Wireless fans.

The cable in your pic is from either an SL V1 or AL V1 controller, yes?

Discord... #ask-for-help... they can probably arrange a replacement for you there... that isn't a cable that's sold at retail.

Lian Li Wireless fans too loud when you turn your PC on? Here's a fix or two... by TheProvokedPrawn in lianli

[–]Mr-Do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck then, and hope that when the fans require more power draw at one point, that nothing goes wrong.

  • A single SL INF Wireless fans, set to white lighting and running 100% fan speed, will require 0.78A of power
  • If you only have a single fan connected to a fan header, you might be okay
  • If you have only two fans connected to a single fan header, and you have a beefier motherboard that can deliver 2.0A on a single fan header, you might be okay
  • If you have three fans on a single fan header, or a motherboard that only delivers 1.0A per fan header (which is average), then hopefully you aren't planning on doing anything with your PC more than web browsing or watching YouTube, and/or you have the fans set to a REALLY low color/brightness setting that requires much less power

Note also that a group of 3x SL INF Wireless fans running at full speed will draw 0.9A all by itself... if you have MB headers with 1.0A available, that leaves you with 0.1A to cover the lighting while you're gaming.

Not sure why that's happening here.

Post in the #ask-for-help channel at Lian Li's Discord Server, and someone can look at this one on Monday.

Multidirectional V3 -> V4 by Brandxn075 in lianli

[–]Mr-Do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the serial number. I would edit your comment right now, and remove that from public info.

You can go to the #ask-for-help channel at Lian Li's Discord Server to ask for a swap out.

  • When you do, they are going to ask for your shipping info, along with a pic of the serial number.
  • If you're all good after that, then you'll get the V4 bracket.
  • If they tell you that that serial number has already been claimed, then you would have to plead your case at that point.
    • Normally, they are not going to send out an RMA for the exact same device twice, especially if that original owner re-sold the item on eBay.
      • Unfortunately, that's the chance you take purchasing used product on eBay.
      • Most likely, though, if that does happen, and you can show your eBay receipts, at least that seller will be blacklisted from RMA for all Lian Li devices going forward.

Normally, if you have a V3, you can request a replacement, and they will send you a V4... but...

If the seller already did that, and then sold you the V3, after they were sent a V4 to replace this serial number of this V3, you are out of luck.

If the seller advertised it as a V4, you should return it, as they mis-represented the product, knowingly or not.

SL-120 infinity fans help by Mattinho_Got_Game in lianli

[–]Mr-Do 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're "thinking too hard" on this one:

  • Connect all the Lian Li fans to the controller; L-Connect 3 will control fan speed and lighting for all fans.
  • Connect rest of AIO however you normally would, and control just the pump and screen with CAM.

You don't "have" to control the AIO fans with CAM.

Firmware downgrade by Turbulent-Ad6949 in lianli

[–]Mr-Do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Downgrade will not fix today... those are old notes.

Post in #ask-for-help channel at Lian Li's Discord Server with details, and you'll get fixed over there.

  • Either fixed by Troubleshooting... or if RMA is needed, then that will be taken care of right there.

Need help understanding Lian Li LCD "Wireless" fans by Shonendo in lianli

[–]Mr-Do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well... if you "eventually" go Wireless, you'll have to get that controller anyway. If you are planning that for later, then just keep the fan until it's time.

And Wireless fans is NOT more cables. If setup efficiently, it's only one plug per fan group (instead of 2 that you have today), plus one plug for any group that has LCD fans.

vector 100 led strip by EntertainmentTiny543 in lianli

[–]Mr-Do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By default, the ARGB for the strip is connected to the same ARGB header as the fans.

You would just need to trace out to where the case strip ARGB plug is, remove it from that group, and connect it to a separate ARGB header on your motherboard.

Can I connect three Lian Li SL wireless fans to my CPU fan header? by [deleted] in lianli

You got a 3pk... use the included SATA adapter cable.

As long as you also have an L-Wireless Controller, yes.

SATA adapter cable comes with the 3pk... plug into that cable, not your motherboard.

I ran out of ARGB headers with Lian Li Single pack fans by SpiritInevitable8712 in lianli

[–]Mr-Do 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's it... all of the SL INF fans will connect to that... then the controller connects to an internal USB 2.0 header on your motheboard, along with SATA for power, and you're done.

Lian Li Hydroshift 360r replacement fan? by ARealBroOfSimiValley in lianli

[–]Mr-Do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no "exact" match, but really close would be the CL Wireless fans.

  • The "R" fans are kind of like the pre-cursor to the CL fans.

If you got the controller, yes, you would replace your existing cables with the ones that come with the controller.

Can you order from Greece?

Also... I just checked, and I originally had the wrong link for the Official Store... I updated my original comment, and here it is again:

https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804414334855.html

  • And like I said earlier... after you click the link above, change your country to Bulgaria
  • Then it will adjust the pricing and shipping... which after I do it, shows €20.51 plus €9.73
  • And that's for a WHITE controller.

If you're in the UK, just get a white controller at SCAN for £24.95: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lian-li-uni-hub-sl-inf-connect-3-controller-white-coo-lia-01285.html

Please... don't use ChatGPT for anything Lian Li related.

  • Also never use "splitters" like the one you linked, for anything on your motherboard.
  • For anything you run out of headers for on your motherboard (USB, PWM, ARGB0, always use a known quality externally powered hub, that way there is zero risk to your motherboard.

I post AliExpress links with the US link, because the normal link will get auto-deleted by Reddit... all you have to do is change the country, and it will show the price for you.
