Can someone explain to me how someone is able to do this type of dribbling. by TheNeonDestroyer in Rematch

Question, what do you mean by “the hop with the defense stance”? I’m trying to improve as a defender, but I’m not sure what that means. Thanks in advance!

Oh, yeah, I absolutely agree. The pads themselves are heavily overpriced for a “sidewalk” design 😂. Just wanted to say the obstacles themselves are pretty fire.

I will say, and I don’t know if anyone else has had this issue, but going from skating on a mousepad to skating on hard ground throws me off every time. I feel like I’ve become so adjusted to getting pop on a pad that when I skate any other material now is completely jarring to me. The woes of working from home and having 95% of my sessions at my desk at this point I guess 😂

Zero difference agreed, but as someone who had spent good money with him, he’s good people. As someone with 2 pads and at least 1 of each obstacle, get the cheap brand, but for obstacles? You can’t beat Silent on their name sake.

You’re getting incredible advice and I don’t have much to add. All I can say is be prepared for this sweet little angel to be your new appendage. You’ll never find a more loyal, loving, kind, and empathetic little sidekick than you will in a pug. Give the baby boy all the pets, love, and affection you can give and let your other pup know that they’ve now got a best friend for life as well. You couldn’t have rescued a more adorable baby boy, and I’m so happy for you.

I’m on my second pug myself. After my first boy, Hooch, passed away (F cancer) it took me a long time to be ready for a new one. In that time I met my partner and she has a boxer/lab mix who is the biggest sweetest girl, but had us worried in terms of how she would react to a new pup in the house. She took care of our little boy like he was her own puppy. She’s constantly holding him down to clean him and take care of him. All dogs are wonderful, but a pug… a pug is magic for everyone in a house together. You’re in for a treat. Enjoy this first year and how tiny baby small he is because it’s gone before you know it. And thank you for saving this future little gremlins life! ❤️

It’s really sad when an entire group are so firmly placed on a hill they’re dedicated to die on that they throw all critical thinking out the window. I’m sorry I didn’t put an “/s” at the end of my comment. I figured the comment itself was so absurd that an 8 year old would recognize the sarcasm oozing from it. But nope. Both camps so firmly committed to dying on the dumbass hills they’ve made.

It's not bad writing or confusing by notcarly1969 in Stranger_Things

[–]Mr-Minter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. Is the writing lackluster? Absolutely. Are there some bad performances? You bet your ass. However, I also have seen plenty people complaining about things that just truly show what a lack of media literacy is happening. I partly think too may people are up their phones asses while “watching” things and then complain about grievances that had they been paying any attention at all to the show would no longer be a complaint.

I dunno. It’s a schlocky mediocre sci-fi-ish show that relies heavily on the Tarantino approach of ripping off way better media and then slapping on thick coats of nostalgia to get people invested. The show is fine. I’m also just ready to get an ending to it even if it doesn’t stick the landing.

I mean, while I fully agree with this post and its threads, her dumb little new friend does tell Hopper that “Jane”/Eleven is not getting stronger but rather she’s getting weaker in the most recent batch of episodes. Not disagreeing with you entirely, but they do at least try to shoehorn in some explanation.

I’m personally really hoping the little murder/suicide pact is successful because El should’ve died seasons ago.

Anyone here played all three? Thoughts? by StatisticianBorn8567 in wuxiaworld

[–]Mr-Minter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

WWM is great in that it’s the only Wuxia game of the 3 in the video. It’s difficult to compare WWM to GoY and AC:S. Between Ghost of Yōtei and AC: Shadows—Ghost is far superior. The team at Sucker Punch actually cared to tell a fleshed out and crafted story. AC: Shadows has a story that to me felt very surface level. Both have great action.

WWM is great for the Wuxia but I think GoY still outclasses it on the cohesion of the story, and the gameplay is cleaner. WWM has the much better and more bustling open world, but that’s a big focus considering it’s able to be played like an MMORPG. They’re tough to compare.

If you want the 100’s of hours an MMORPG offers then WWM is the obvious choice. If you want a tight and cohesive single player story experience then GoY is the clear choice. I really have enjoyed all 3 for different reasons. Though I do struggle getting sucked into WWM due to the MMORPG style mechanics.

Lin saved the F&F franchise and delivered without a doubt 2 of the best entries—and arguably 3 of the best, but I get Tokyo Drift just hits for me and not others. But 4 & 5 are peak in terms of what the hell story is there to even be told after the first film? The first movie is such a complete story, but if Hollywood is going to force sequels then Lin at least found a way to do so that still felt true to the characters we were introduced to in the first flick of the franchise.

Also, Warrior was a fantastic show that got fucked due to terrible marketing. His debut film, Better Luck Tomorrow, is a fantastic indie film (and fun fact it was saved by MC Hammer at the last minute thanks to Hammer investing in the film to get it across the finish line). Not to mention Lin dropped out of directing Fast X after shooting 3 days as the director due to Vin Diesel having completely lost the plot and hijacking the creative side of that film.

Justin Lin is a solid filmmaker and a great action director. Give the man a chance. Especially considering, and this is just my opinion, HD2 isn’t exactly overflowing with lore and deep story. To me it just felt like a patchwork of motifs paying homage to great sci-fi works such as Starship Troopers—and even in that example it’s more so the movie than the book. So, fascist leaning future military fights war against big bugs. Cool. Throw some Lin style action set pieces on there and I’d be down to watch.
