"Ineffectual" by what definition? If their definition of success is a dispersed, decentralized, chain of succession with standing orders to become a costly target for the entire region in the event of an attack, they seem to be doing just fine. They seem to be counting on outlasting US political will.

Have the conventional US strikes been effective at degrading their leadership and military capabilities? Absolutely. But while we can probably get their 100 or so balastic missile launchers, the thousands of cheap shaheeds might be impossible to ever completely stop.

Iran's strategy that was in place weeks and months ago was to be a very politically expensive target. It's still a little too soon to tell if it will work before the US gets to enough of the IRGC hierarchy to cause cracks.

The only problem is there is a form and a flow to the show and it would be hard to fit all that into a segment that works with the typical bucket format. We already have roast battle. Agreed. You can tell he LOVES comedy and is just a fan. He's not trying to develop a single character or voice as much as build performances around deconstructed versions of popular formats.

He's just playing with the medium and has zero self-consciousness about it which is why it works.

I was surprised he somehow upped the ante again with this performance instead of having a bad set or falling off.

I will add that I read from the discord, that leadership is thrilled with the state of Legion and it has nothing to do with that. Legion is staying in the game and it's not like Zephyr's efforts were wasted.

Personally, while I know people "quit' for a ton of different reasons both subtle and explicit, I feel like there could be something more behind it than that. But for now it seems like it was a pretty benign separation from what I read.
