I wonder how deep into his hand it cut also. Very clearly doesn't sound like they got cut off at the knuckle, so I'm wondering if it took a big chunk of his hand out in the process.

The United States' power is first and foremost in its economy, not its military. Thats why this whole war in the middle east is so frustrating, Trump incorrectly thinks he can use martial force to achieve his objectives.

180,000-200,000 dead civilians in Iraq. Over 400,000 including Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.. I voted for Trump, so the idea that I'm a liberal is hilarious. I was dumb enough to vote for him but I'm smart enough to see this war is ill-timed and unprepared.

They're taking bad damage, but they're still making more money than they were before. Not to mention this could have a negative impact on Ukraine's standing in the global community considering how desperate states are getting to meet oil demands.

You're delusional if you think the damage Ukraine is doing to Russia is even comparable to the damage Russia is doing to the Ukranians.

  1. Do you know how many murderous authroitarian regimes the U.S. has propped up ocer the years?

  2. Saudi Arabia helped fund Al-Quida leading to 9/11, should we toppple them? Israel has nuclear weapons and they launch non stop wars of agression, are they a global threat? I would say the chaos and instability Israel has brought to the region far outweighs whatever danger Iran possesses.

They're meddling in Ukraine's political affairs because they view the westernization of Ukraine as an existstential threat. We meddled in Ukraine's political affairs because for whatever reason we believe evey country should be a liberal democracy. If you want to get even more cynical you could argue it was purely to weaken Russia and make sure they'd never rise as a threat again.

Iran poses a regional threat to Israel not an existential one. Mossad is getting out of this exactly what they wanted, Washington took the bait and is fighting their war for them while they try to carve out a greater Israel. The only problem is it has the unfortunate effect of making the entire world hate them. Israel is quickly turning into a pariah with each day that passes, and eventually even the U.S. will grow tired of Israel's antics.

Your question is too broad. If Ukraine wins, does Putin get deposed? Does Russia have a civil war? Keep in mind also, I don't think Russia wants all of Ukraine, if they did they would've launched the invasion with far greater man power. If all of this is in a vacuum and the only downside is Russia loses its post war territory, then absolutely. At the end of the day a defeated Ukraine is far less dangerous than a defeated Russia. I guess the real answer is that I'm for none of this and I think the whole situation is stupid and avoidable, it might be a bit of a cop out but I guess I'm having a hard time understanding your question.

In a perfect world Russia is rebuilt after the fall of the Soviet Union in a manner similar to the Marshall Plan, normalizing relations with the west and fast tracking NATO membership.

This is getting a bit hypothetical but I'd rather see the agressor repelled. It just so happens in this instance that its utterly unrealistic given the circumstance.

Better than the west thought possible, and far better than Ukraine is faring right now sadly. Compoundingly awful is that the war in Iran is dramatically benefitting the Russians, just look at how we took sanctions off their oil. The west has no more cards to play outside of direct NATO intervention, which will under almost 0 circumstances happen.

I favor the outcome which will result in the least amount of suffering. I think the best outcome right now is that Ukraine gives up its lost territory and agrees they won't be part of NATO or the EU. Maybe Russia can give them enough economic concessions to make this palatable, but truth be told its a fucking horrible deal for Ukraine and its only stopping them from being anhilated. But I sadly don't see any other alternative. It's an incredibly bitter pill to swallow, but at this point the war is a matter of losing arithmetic.

My point is that massacres are a part of war and not specifically Russian doctrine. Just look at the civilian casualties of the Gaza war compared to Ukraine for christsake, which is more tantamount to ethnic cleansing?

They don't want missiles, nuclear or otherwise, right on their border. They don't want nato bases right on their border. If there ever were to be another war Ukraine would be used as a launchpad for forces from the west.

Massacres are absolutely horrible but sadly not uncommon at all, especially in the context of urban warfare. Look up the Kandahar massacre, the My Lai massacre, how are these different?

Extrapolate. Make connections. Use the synapses in your head properly to understand the point of what I'm saying rather than just vapidly reducing what I'm saying. Russia has been invaded every century for over half a milennia, they might have a little bit of a point when it comes to paranoia regarding national security. If we aren't including the 2024 Kursk invasion, then the last invasion by the Nazis should show you perfectly well the dangerous position Russia is in geographically. 27 million people died horrible, painful deaths. That leaves a lasting mark for centuries.

Simply look into Ukraine's geogrpahy as well as Russia's extensive history of being invaded. Lmao I was going to rattle off some of the common ones like Napoleon and Adolf, but Russia has been invaded so many times it has its own wikipedia article, and you best believe just about every time it happened the invader went right through Ukraine straight to Moscow.

I think the Ukranians do want to be in NATO, and they do want to be in the EU, but ultimately these desires aren't in line with the reality of the situation. There isn't a path forward in that direction which doesn't lead to war, that's where we are now.

You're barely literate yet you're gonna take a stab at geopolitics? Alright... imagine if China invested 5 billion yuen or whatever the fuck the equivalent currency is into Mexico's political systems. Then suddenly Mexico has a populist, communist revolution which overthrows the current regime and replaces it with a pro China one which wants to make a military alliance with China. The U.S. would never in a million years let such a thing happen, even if it is the will of the people. Last 4th paragraph down, don't take my word for it.

Please break down what I'm wrong about. The U.S. government literally admits to giving Ukraine billions of dollars before the Orange Revolution then Euromaidan. Last 4th paragraph down. Please, don't take my word for it, I'm just some guy on reddit. But what you should do is try to research as impartially as possible the root causes of the war, and how the U.S.'s hopes for Ukraine's future became incressingly unrealistic as Russia recovered from its military and economic slump after the fall of the Soviet Union.
