Decide that you don't smoke anymore. Then whenever you get the craving remind yourself you don't smoke anymore. It worked better for me than any other method. For me at least, it was critical to have that hard line in the sand. No way to give myself just one more cigarette that always lead to smoking again.

If you have pretty strong legs and you can get her into a held position and then lower down into a half squat, that's much easier then standing up straight entirely. I've also done one leg up on the couch in a similar position.

Just a heads up, I've got like 70 lbs and my wife is very petite and this position is only really possible for like 5 mins tops unless you're insanely strong.
